Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone out there has applied to early admission for fall 2010 to abington hospital dixon school of nursing?

Thanks! I never get my mail when everyone else does...probably get it tomorrow...hopefully. I am just trying to stay on top of things with school. I know we have to register for the N100 course as well.

Hi! I am currently a student at Dixon, one semester away from my senior year. We get about 2 weeks off between semesters and 1 week off in the middle of the semester. They gave us our clinical schedule for the year in August. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Trigirl, thanks for your reply. The reason why I am asking so many questions about the schedule is because I am planning my wedding. Just been going back and forth about just waiting til after I graduate. School is number one, but I also don't want to wait over 2 years...we'll see.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We get two weeks off in April, four weeks in Aug/Sept and two weeks over Christmas.

Jo'ee i got your message but I can't reply on a PM because I dont have 15 posts yet! I finished at Manor and actually just ordered my books for Aug. I must be honest I did have a little anxiety when I saw all the things we have to do before Orientation but its just a matter of prioritizing and working through it and now I'm starting to feel much better about it.

wow, I was anxious too at first. It looked like alot to do. I ordered my books and already received them. So I looked over the assignments with the books and it really isn't that much. I already took a drug calc class so the drug calculations hw for me is a review.

Are you in E/W? That is the class I am in.

I registered for the cpr class for Aug 3rd.

I also have my appt for my chart review.

It is really moving along now, time to get busy.

Yes I am in EW also so we will definitely meet i am sure! Oh no I haven't taken any drug calculations and thats my biggest fear. I didnt know we could already register for everything else, I thought we had to wait for the May 1st date. Guess I will get working on that now as well, thanks for the heads up! I am going this weekend to look for my shoes! I am excited and nervous all at the same time. But we are on our way!!!!

You are right, we can't register for the N100 class until May 1st, but we are encouraged to register as soon as possible for the cpr class. They fill quickly. I was able to schedule my chart interview already, we didn't have to wait until May 1st to schedule that; the interview must be between May 1-28th. Just registered for the 7/31 class on Sat., I needed a weekend and I have my call in to the Student Health because I see my dr. next week to get my physical, so just waiting for them to call me back to register for that.

Cant wait to get my books so I can get started on the assignments! I will email you when I get my 15 posts! I think Im at about 6 now...haha.
