I'M IN!!!! I am sooo excited....the same thing that happened to Mommi97 happened to me this afternoon...they called me and told me that I was in for Nights/Weekends.....I was so happy tears came pouring out my eyes...I have been waiting for this for so long and now I feel like I can finally relax...I was soo anxious for this acceptance....Congrats to everyone else that got in and I can't wait to meet you all in the fall!!!!

I unfortuntly was put onto the waiting list. I did not finish my pre reqs though. I am currently taking A&PII and Microbiology. I was very disappointed when I got the letter in the mail because when I was in the interview they acted like I already got accepted. They were very pleased with my application and my grades/GPA. All well, I guess it was not meant to be. I got into Gwynedd Mercy's nursing program. It's a great school so I am probably going to go there instead.

Congratulations on your acceptance to GMC. I am sorry you were placed on the waiting list. You still may be invited to attend, as not everyone completes the requirements and some turn down the acceptance. However, GMC is an excellent school! Remember, everything happens for a reason....some day you may look back and say...gee I am so glad I came to this school (for whatever reason). Be proud of yourself, GMC is a tough school to get into.

You say you have a good GPA. Are you getting a transfer scholarship which is credited for high GPAs? Also, do you belong to Phi Theta Kappa? GMC offers scholarships for each of those. For GPA up to $8500 and PTK $2000 a year. If you haven't already, look into those. I was accepted there also, and they offered me the 8500 transfer scholarship but they didn't know I was a member of PTK, so they added the 2000 after I inquired about it. I was accepted to both schools, dson and gmc, but, in the end, I chose dixon because it was less money.

Again congrats on gmc!!!! You have a nursing school to go to in the fall!!! Yeah!!! :yeah:

Thank you very much! And yes, that is what i have been telling a lot of people. Maybe it is a sign that I was put onto the waiting list and accepted into Gwynedd Mercy. I did receive the transfer scholarship for 8500 and I am in the honors sorority. I sent them the certificate, but I never got a letter that I received the other $2000. I've been meaning to give them a call. Yeah I would love to go to abington because it is less money so I don't blame you. Good luck!

Don't give up on Abington just yet. If I recall correctly, about 40-50 of the waitlisted people last year were then accepted due to other people either not completing pre-reqs, or accepting offers at other schools. Either way, you sound intelligent, and motivated! Good luck with whatever school you end up at!

Thanks! If I get into abington I still do not know what school I would like to go to. They are both excellent. Abington is cheaper, but a diploma school. Whereas Gwynedd is expensive, I received a scholarship, and i'd be getting my associates degree in nursing.

Congrats to those of you who have been accepted, your hard work has paid off! I am on the waiting list due to my micro not being complete. I am staying optimistic that I will somehow make it into the fall 10 evening weekend program! If I do not I will have to continue to try for 2011. In any event, this has been an experience. I am not discouraged though, I am sticking with the fact that my grades are good enough as was my TEAS score otherwise I would have been denied lol. Good luck to all of you!

Hi Any one have this answer? I have been happily accepted to the Weekend program at Dixon. Now I need to switch to the Day Program. Is that even possible? Any thoughts? Anyone want to swap spots? Just another wait and see game. Thanks for any HELP with this :idea:

I did contact the school but all the slots are spoken for so I was hoping someone had info on whether or not I might expect some spots to amazingly become available in the Day Program. Does everyone who is accepted to Dixon attend Dixon ? Just trying to see what my options might be. Thanks
