  1. I received the Presidential Scholarship which is 8500 a year. This is for every year if I keep a 3.2 GPA. I am praying I can keep my GPA up.
  2. I am a transfer student so I am not exactly sure. If you got on their site it is under admissions. It tells you. I think it is one of the most reasonable schools in the area to get into. If you apply early and have good grades you'll get in. I think they are looking for 2.5 and higher. Nursing students you need a least a 3.0. Grades are important. Grades are everything once you hit college. I do a lot of community service so that helps too (sometimes, grades you get more scholarships. At least this is what I am noticing).
  3. Well congrats on Abington and another school. What school are you going to?
  4. I am working very hard now so that I do not have to work while I am at GMC. I want to make sure I do well and do not fail out. I am on this site everyday and I hear horror stories about nursing school. I hear great things about GMC. I am very excited to get started. I know it is going to be hard work. I did not send in my deposit yet. I am not sure how many people are accepted. I applied back in September and found out in December.
  5. Thanks! If I get into abington I still do not know what school I would like to go to. They are both excellent. Abington is cheaper, but a diploma school. Whereas Gwynedd is expensive, I received a scholarship, and i'd be getting my associates degree in nursing.
  6. Thank you very much! And yes, that is what i have been telling a lot of people. Maybe it is a sign that I was put onto the waiting list and accepted into Gwynedd Mercy. I did receive the transfer scholarship for 8500 and I am in the honors sorority. I sent them the certificate, but I never got a letter that I received the other $2000. I've been meaning to give them a call. Yeah I would love to go to abington because it is less money so I don't blame you. Good luck!
  7. Hey! So I recently got accepted into Gwynedd Mercy's nursing program for Fall of 2010. Has anyone else gotten accepted? If you are a current student or a recent graduate can you please share some of your experience about the program. Thanks!
  8. I unfortuntly was put onto the waiting list. I did not finish my pre reqs though. I am currently taking A&PII and Microbiology. I was very disappointed when I got the letter in the mail because when I was in the interview they acted like I already got accepted. They were very pleased with my application and my grades/GPA. All well, I guess it was not meant to be. I got into Gwynedd Mercy's nursing program. It's a great school so I am probably going to go there instead.
