  1. I am getting rid of my books as well if you give me the isbn 13 number from your list I can tell you if I have it. I bought all my books new and I don't mark/write in my books. I also have alot of other books along the way I am willing to part with such as the Made Incredibly Easy books. Just email me!
  2. And Tneo if it wasn't for Jo I would be lost, she's a great person to know and very friendly also!!!! So glad I met her!!! So look for her when you get to Dixon she is a wealth of knowledge, even join our page to get a feel for things now if you like!
  3. Congrats to all of you!! Hopefully I will get a chance to meet all of you!!
  4. Tneo you just have to set one up! That is what me and another member on the board did for our Class of 2012 at Dixon, we met on here and started talking and we both thought it might be easier to chat through Facebook so she made the page and others followed and now everyone is there, and it's a great especially when you need to discuss class and it's private so she only let people that she saw on our roster join. Unfortunately I haven't kept up with it as much as I would like to but its a great way to talk to your classmates and get to know them even before classes begin.
  5. Ok so Im the slacker of the group I guess on the stethoscope haha. Cant decide on my color!
  6. Ok I just requested, please approve me!
  7. Jo'ee Im a FB addict so if you need help let me know! Yes I have to live my life in colors not just boring black! I already have been showing my boyfriend the ones I want WHEN (not if) I graduate school...haha. Bummed we have to get the boring white shoes but at least they will hopefully be comfy!
  8. woo hoo FB page would be awesome! I'm in! You just might have to turn off all my Farmville/Mafia Wars posts..haha. However with school, that might slow down quite a bit! I was browsing the Littmans today as well, I love the colors can't decide, my boyfriend said to go for boring black and I said NO WAY!
  9. I am going to wait to call because I want to be certain I am registered and my email doesn't get lost somewhere along the way. I have ATT as my carrier but still went with the Itouch, just don't want to pay more monthly. Haven't gotten the chance to look for shoes yet but what stethoscope did everyone get??
  10. Prncesslaur, If you are getting the iphone wait til June, the new platform is coming out and from what I'm hearing its going to be the same price. Supposedly its going to make the older models basically obsolete (not sure how....). I ended up going with the itouch 64mb, unfortunately my itouch was only an 8, but I'm going to pass it down to my son I guess. My phone isn't due for update til next year so I figured if the itouch wasn't working out for me I would upgrade my phone to the iphone, because with the iphone you also have to have a data plan which is a killer in price for the iphone its not just the normal data plan and I dont want that added expense every month. Just some things for you to think about... As for N100 the only day I can really do is Sat because i also work full time and would have to take off for any of the other days and worry about my kids also getting home from school. Im getting excited too, and feeling like things are moving right along. I love checking things off on the list though as I'm going along..haha.
  11. I agree with everyone else here. You worked hard for this and you knew it wasn't going to be an easy road but you did it! I say stay and finish your nursing it will be worth it in the end. I understand your struggles I am a single mom of 4 working full time also and just was accepted into a program and i have no family to help me. Its a stuggle for me every day. I believe you already know what your decision is, so stop listening to everyone else and do what you you feel is right for you. Sounds like your husband is just as supportive. Believe in yourself and do it!
  12. nurswannab Yes A&P II is a tough course to take during summer but I have known people to do it. Don't rush yourself though, you rather get good grades and understand everything then get a poor grade trying to rush to get everything in. Do they offer Microbiology over the Summer, I personally thought Micro was easy and that might be a consideration to take that over the summer?? Yes definitely get the study guide for the Teas it was well worth the investment it completely prepared me for what was on the test. I did all the tests in the book then did the online ones and read the book twice! Obviously I did well cause I got in..hehehe. But I get nervous with tests so when I saw the test , it all looked familiar to me and I didn't stress out.
  13. Well to make you feel better I have heard of people being accepted even they weren't fully finished and as long as you complete the classes I belive by Regular Decision which is Feb 2011 which it sounds to me like you will be, from what I was told if you are planning to complete the classes after the Feb 2011 date you stand a higher chance of being wait listed because they take the students first that have completed and passed the pre-reqs. I asked because I was in a similar situation and then I decided to just take the summer off I was pregnant and not push myself too hard and apply for the following year, which now looking back was the better decision in the end. If you dont mind me asking what school are you going to for your Pre-Req's? As for your GPA it is very good so dont worry bout that part. Is it at all possible to take your Micro and APII in the same semester?? Remember you still need to take the TEAS test as well and they need to have those results by the General Decision date. Meaning you will need to take it prob around Dec. (I wasn't aware of that and took it just in the nick of time!)
  14. Got my books today! Finally!!! Now I can start stressing about the material to be completed....haha. I was shocked at how much the book weighs I hope I dont have to carry that thing around with me everywhere. 17xx pages is alot of pages for a book at least it looks interesting though.
  15. nurswannab This is what their site says for Early Decision Reviews will be conducted on those with a minimum of five of the nine prerequisite college courses completed, two of which must be science courses. This is where you can find the info! http://amhdixonson.org/apply_transfer.html
