Just wondering if anyone out there has applied to early admission for fall 2010 to abington hospital dixon school of nursing?

I wonder if they have a select number and when people that didn't get in they go to the next one.

That is great though even though you were accepted somewhere else it is always good to get your first choice.

Congrats! I'm still hoping for an interview for regular admission. I submitted the last of my material just before Christmas. I know the deadline for regular application is January 15th, so I'm hoping they are waiting until then to call people in.

I'm not holding my breath, but I remain hopeful.

From what I see they do everything on a time line. They won't call anyone most likey till after they see how many appliacations they get in.

I was interviewed for early admission, but was in the process of finishing my last 4 prereqs. So I was rolled over to reg admission. As soon as my grades were posted, I headed to school and picked up my transcript and drove it to Abington. They didn't waste anytime getting my letter out. It was dated Jan 4th. I thought I would have to wait until the end of Feb to hear with the rest of the reg admission. But, I guess they just wanted to see that I finished my prerequs. I am so grateful that the letter came without me expecting it, so I didn't have to play the waiting game at the mailbox again. haha

I'm doing drug caculations, doesn't start till the end of the month. I'm through the first three chapters already though.

Oh, I am waitlisted on the online drug calc class. I started my statistics course early too.

Are you taking it online? I'm signed up for that class, haven't bought the book yet. How is it so far?

Yes I am taking it online. So far so good. It is alot of repetitive work. Lots of calculations. I do every problem and take alot of notes. My daughter's boyfriend is in our class and he doesn't need the repetition and note taking like me. So he has moved at a faster pace than I have. I got started early because I have a full course load this semester and wanted to get a jump on things since Stat is my hardest class I am taking this semester and I wanted the extra time. Some of the calculations can be frustrating though; if you make a mistake in one calc it messes up the rest of the problem and I have a hard time finding where I went wrong.....:banghead:

Are you taking it with Dr Fitte?

Did you also apply to abington son?

Oh I was asking about the Drug calc class.

I took Stats online Fall semester with Dr. Fitt and it was really challenging but she's really helpful with any issues you may have and very understanding. It's good that you started early because I procrastinated a lot and it was a rush to finish at the end. Also make sure you take a look at the due date for the research proposal for the 2 page paper because I missed that deadline by not looking through the course information, I just started working on the problems.

I didn't apply to ADSON because I'm going for my BSN but a few of my friends that I took A&P with at Bucks are going there in the Fall.
