I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was going in for what was suppose to be just an in & out procedure (tubal ligation). But I guess after I came out of surgery I was in so much pain my OBGYN decided to admit me. He only would prescribe me Ultracet or Tylenol 3. I knew that wouldn't be enough to cover the pain. The Demerol has been helping. My husband goes back to work Thursday night & my mom goes back to work Friday so I knew I needed something stronger.
Anyway, to the point. From the day surgery, OR & floor nurses they have all have been just wonderful. So I want to say thank you to all of you nurses because it is not easy being on the other side. It has definitely been the year of hospital stays. I had my son, then my gallbladder removed, my son was admitted, my tubal & my OBGYN told my husband that I have a fibroid that needs to be removed so that's another surgery.
Thank you again for everything all you nurses do. This is definitely giving me motivation to go back to school. Happy Nurse's Week!
I also would like to say thank you, from someone who was just on "the other
side" earlier this week. I had atypical chest pain and a panic attack, and was
admitted to my hospital. My nurses did a great job, and helped me once again
see things from that other perspective. Helps a person be a better nurse!!!
Feeling better now, hope you are as well OC!!!

Thats so scary! I'm glad you're ok!!! It's always great to have caring nurses & opens your eyes when you're on the other side. I think it makes you a better nurse because you can sympathize more with your patients.
Yes, I am starting to be in less pain. Glad to hear you're doing well!
Ack, I go on vacation for a week and you go and fall apart?! Not cool man!Seriously though, big hugs and prayers to you. You've had a seriously rough year, but I have faith that things will only get better.
Kisses!
Lolol! Well technically I went in for a routine outpatient surgery but because I'm me & can't handle pain, OBGYN admitted me. Lol!
I can't wait to get my next surgery over & done with. Then no more surgeries for a long time.
Thank you! *kisses*
Feel better soon!
Thank you! Each day I'm doing better. It makes me glad that my OBGYN really listened to me. Because I did tell him before going in to the OR that I needed something stronger for pain than Ultracet or Tylenol 3. Apparently I made such a big impact on him when I woke up from surgery that he decided to admit me. Lol. Guess I need to keep that in mind if I ever have an outpatient procedure in the future! Lol!
