I truly understand your situation. My son just returned home last December after almost a year over there. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and CJ. Please keep us updated on how he is doing, and if you want any kind of care package sent. It will be very difficult to get through--for both of you--but a mothers love has no boundaries.
Deb,
My thoughts are with you and your son. I know how you feel. My Marine son is coming home on leave Saturday. He just ended his second tour of Iraq. Try to stay positive and don't listen to all the news from Iraq. They tend to report on only the negative. I have found that CD's and guitars are a good diversion and much welcomed. Good luck to you and your son. Tell him I am proud of him. Email if you would like to talk.

This has nothing to do with nursing, but I would appreciate anyone who reads this to take a moment, pray, think about, or whatever your beliefs may be, for my son. He is in the Army and is training to be a medic. He finishes his training the 13th of this month and then on Christmas Day will be deployed to Iraq. I know that there are probably many of you whose lives and loved ones are touched by these same circumstances and I pray for all our soldiers and families. His name is CJ and he is 19 years old. Please remember him, that he will be safe and return home. Thank you.
