This has nothing to do with nursing, but I would appreciate anyone who reads this to take a moment, pray, think about, or whatever your beliefs may be, for my son. He is in the Army and is training to be a medic. He finishes his training the 13th of this month and then on Christmas Day will be deployed to Iraq. I know that there are probably many of you whose lives and loved ones are touched by these same circumstances and I pray for all our soldiers and families. His name is CJ and he is 19 years old. Please remember him, that he will be safe and return home. Thank you.
CJ is coming home for 7 days! I asked him what he wanted me to bring him for his "graduation" and he said "Mom, don't go to all that expense to come here. All I want is a plane ticket home." Well, you bet, he has that ticket in his hand right now! I pick him up at the airport on October 14th...I am elated! He's coming home for seven wonderful days!
I will let him know of all your prayers and thoughts and that he has a lot of people from all over thinking about him, praying for him and wishing him home safe.
Thanks so much...
will keep you updated!

You and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. Along with all of the other men and women who are serving in the service. I don't have any relatives in the military but I feel for all you just the same. I can't imagine what it must be like to have your babies going off to war. Like everyone else also I am hoping our troops can come home to stay soon .

My prayers for you and CJ. I currently have son in Iraq with Marines. He was previously in Kuwait. It is hard. What works best for me is water exercise class and swimming at the local Y. Hugs to you.
