Probably has a "weekends off" respite on the headaches, though...

The healing power of a weekend is pretty amazing. We have a student who avoids school like you wouldn't believe! The list of ailments this kid comes up with would make you think she was on death's doorstep. But she always manages to recover in time to eat at the same restaurant every Friday night with her family. This restaurant happens to be owned by our attendance clerk and her husband.

When I ask, "how long has your head been hurting?" they always reply with, "since music" or "since Spanish class" as though I have the schedule of every student in the building memorized.
I'm like, "dude, I have no idea if Spanish was 2 minutes ago or 3 days ago! Throw me a frikkin bone!"

When I get this complaint and I know the kid is just trying to get out of class, I start telling them "Me too... do you know anything that can fix my headache?" And they are like confused.
