A&P Summer 06'

Published

OK I'm signing up for A&P 1 and 2 this summer. It starts in May and ends in August. Who else is taking A&P this summer? Are you doing anything to prepare for it?

My classes are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5pm to 10pm. I purchased the A&P coloring book and I've been looking at tons of websites. I have already taken a lot of notes. I hope this helps me some.

I to am taking A&P 1&2 this summer A&P1 may 8-june 9, a&p2 jun - aug.

I'll be taking A&P2 this summer. June 5th to July 25th. Tuesday and Thursday 1-7pm.

I'm not doing anything to prepare at the moment. I'll have a two week break between this semester and the summer semester so I'll probably start reading the assigned chapters in the textbook. And reading over my AP for Dummies book. :)

Hi

I was thinking about it but since I've been warned about A&P :uhoh3: I'd rather take it in the longer fall semester...anyways how can you guys take A&P 1 AND 2 at the same time ? At my College I can only take one class at a time...:uhoh21:

I'm finishing up A&P 1 this Spring in May, and then I'll be taking 2 through Summer sessions 1 and 2. Hopefully this will have me ready for the beginning of the nursing program this Fall. Good luck on your courses.

I'm taking both A&P 1 & 2 this summer too. Should be a fun 8 weeks :uhoh3:

Most summer classes are broken up into A & B sessions. I'm taking A&P 1 in A session (June) and 2 in B session (July).

I'm finishing up my last 6 weeks of A&P2. I have to take Micro in the summer though

I'm taking a 5.5 anatomy class in the last half of the summer (July-August). My school divides it into an Anatomy course, and then a Physiology course, instead of two A&P courses. I'm taking Physiology in the fall.

To prepare... I bought the anatomy coloring book, and Mosby's anatomy flash cards (muscles and bones). I also have some medical terminology CD's that I'm going to listen to. They were my brothers... I'm not sure how good they are. I'm thinking that they might help me remember word roots and by that being able to figure out the meaning of a word by breaking it up, and putting the meanings together. If that makes any sense at all!! :lol2:

Yeah you make sense! Taking Latin would be good too but who has time for that! Let me know how those flash cards are b/c I saw them today and was thining about buying them.

As long as I don't have any problems getting in the class, I'm taking A&P II during summer A and then microbiology summer B. It will be hell but at least then all I'll have left for fall is chemistry :)

Good!! I was told that it would be a good idea... and it seemed like it would. I'm just going to listen to them in my spare time, or in the car (like I have any spare time...). But, I'm thinking maybe in the car... I drive around a lot to different things...

The flash cards look really good to me. About half of the several hundred in there are muscles, and the rest bones and joints. It has a picture of the location on the one side, and the muscles or bone that should be named colored in (it's more like a drawing I guess). And then on the other side is the name of the bone/muscle, it's function, origin, insertion, and innervation. They look really helpful to me... I guess I'll find out though whenever I start using them. :)

I am taking a&p II this summer. Right now I am finishing up a&p I and let me tell you, its a challenging class. Studying makes or breaks you in these classes! Best of luck to you.
