A&P 1 Spring 08

Hi y'all! Anybody taking A&P 1 this coming spring semester? I'm trying to get as many pre-req's out of the way as possible and could use a study buddy or 2! Thanks! :)

Thank you so much for this info. Im going to order me some as soon as poss. Getting a mini digital voice recorde is on my list also before Spring Semester starts.

i got in, the add list and wait list is full at my community college., but I am not combining anatomy and physiology, just anatomy by instelf then ill take physiology and micro in the fall..

I am signed up for A&P1 this spring to. I'm so scared:o I haven't been in shool for 10 years...I've never had a single college class! I'm very thankful I found this site. You guys have taken some of my stress and fear away! Has anyone ever taken Sociology thats a pre-rec at my school...its a class I think I may have some trouble with.

Hey gang,

I have offered my notes to anyone interested in them and many of you have. I have actually gotten so many that I have decided to post them here for anyone to use. I am putting my AP I notes here and AP II notes will be posted on the AP II sticky. I hope that they help you with your classes. Good luck to you all.

The notes will be fine. The notes that are titled with the systems, like Cardiovascular system, respiratory system, those are physiology topics and notes. The way my program was set up we had AP I and II and had the same instructor. He, a retired surgeon of 34 years, taught basically anatomy in AP I and physiology in AP II, so the notes are set up that way.

Count me IN for a study group!!! I can use any help I can get. Do you know your book yet?? I am in Indiana....so not sure if this type of class uses the same books across the board? Let me know!

Already did Soc.! Not too bad of a class. It is a lot of common sense mostly....I felt Psych. was much more difficult. Lots of processes to memorize! I hear you about being scared. I have been out of school almost 20 yrs. and started going back last year. Just about done with my pre-reqs then on to nursing school. Scared out of my mind!

Has anyone ever taken Sociology thats a pre-rec at my school...its a class I think I may have some trouble with.

One of my favorite pre-requisites thus far was Sociology. I almost changed my major to Sociology after taking it, but then realized that it would be more difficult to find a job that could support my family with that major. So here I am, still plugging away at Nursing pre-reqs. This semester, all I'm taking is Anatomy (my school splits it into Anatomy in one semester and Physiology in the next) because the other pre-reqs I need were all full by the time my registration slot rolled around.

Back to the point though... sociology was a wonderful class and terribly interesting. Our class took some wonderful field trips too, including one to the local prison. ....very eye opening stuff.

Sociology is one of the options that I have for my coreqs. I'll probably take it since it seems like it would be easy to take online.

Thus far I have taken all my classes online. This semester I am taking my Math & ANP face-to-face. I carried a full load last semester but only took the 2 this one. I was afraid it would be a little much, so I go every Monday & Saturday this semester. If you have the opportunity to take them online, go for it that way! At first I thought that because I had been out of school so long that I would need the face-to-face method....but actually I prefer the online. With 2 kids, work, sports schedules, etc.... it was easier to work doing it online. I think age/maturaty has a hand in getting it done as well!!! Getting ready to start my classes on 14th!!

Katen, I'm scared out of my mind too. Don't worry about soc though, it's super-easy. If you need help with it just let me know, I've taken more soc classes than I can count. I started looking over my A&P class' syllabus today and actually got a little nauseous. I don't know if I'm excited or on the verge of a coronary:chair:
