well, it's about time to start this thread, i think!! let's get our bearings and see who all is in the same boat in january!

i finish up the first half of a&p with a comprehensive exam on december 13th and then it's right into the physiology portion of the course. we actually are starting special senses this week and next but will only get the first chapter done.

so .... who else is in? when did you take a&p i and how is your course set up? do you have the prof you want and are you looking forward to it?

i will include the sites from the a&p i thread that might be helpful! i will add/subtract as i get a chance to look through them a bit more or if anyone else suggests some good sites.

I'm done with all of my lab exams and just have to do a fetal pig dissection which we should start on Monday.

In lecture we have taken 2 exams so far. The first exam covered Bio-chem, the second one covered tissues and the sensory/nervous & skeletal/muscular systems. The third and fourth exams will be combined into one big old whopper of a test and will also be our final exam. It will cover all of the remaining systems plus fluids & electrolytes. I'm getting that panicky feeling that we won't have enough lecture time left to cover everything that will be included on the final, which is now a little over 3 weeks away, but I feel like this every semester and always manage to get through it okay.

Fortunately, she will provide a study guide (soon, I hope.)

Uggghhhh!! I got a C on the test we took two weeks ago!! that is horrible for me and I am so disappointed in myself!!

But the good news is that our last lab practical is going to be EASYYYYYY!! She already told us what is on it and all I can say is EASY A which I need since last one I got a B. and need to average it out some!

We have 4 tests including the final and 2 lab practicals and then we can do an extra credit report and our lab book is an easy A as long as it is completed!

So I need to get cracking and study the last 3 chapters and do my extra credit report so there is a chance I could still end up with an A (a slim one but a chance nonetheless!).

I found out our last class is May 3 and I CANT WAIT!!!

I took my lecture exam last night, it was brutal. The test was 135 points all together, 2 essays, 45 multiple choices and 4 extra credit questions worth 3 points each. I just hope I did well. I figure, even if I get a 70 (answering 20 out of 45), my average will still be 87 in lecture and 98 in lab. I am not too worry at this point. I have one more exam and then microbiology.

We wrote our final this a.m.!!! Yeehaw!!!!!!! I initially was kicking myself for missing the mark on one of the long answer questions but, nah, I quit kicking myself because it hurt! I'm just soooooooo glad to be done. I said I was going to have a big bonfire of my study notes tonight. It would be kind of nice to burn the text too but, no, I will really want that later I know it!! It's been a good friend to me!

Hope everyone else is winding down as well! I feel so happy to be finished. I do hope I hung onto my grade but right now being done is all that matters!!!!!!!!!!

Hi brandy, i am at HFCC wait list for RN, i been on wait list since oct 2005:angryfire . i'm taking A&P 2 during summer 2006 at WCCC and AH120 and life span development during fall 2006 at HFCC:o .... my nursing councillor told me i have a good chance gettin in the program during winter 2006:idea: .. how long u been on wait list? how did you do in your A&P 2 ?? let me know... wish you good luck

I have my final practical tonight. Next week I will have the lecture final. So far, I have a 93 average in lab and 90 in lecture. I still believe I will get an A for the class. Good luck to all of you with finals............

We got to disect a kidney last night. It was pretty interesting. And I know I must be going crazy because I was so proud I had a "good" kidney: all my medullary pyramids, renal columns, arteries, etc, were very clear. Wow. I need to get out more.

i did get my a and now i feel slightly depressed for no good reason. it is nice to have a good mark for both terms (this was a combo course i and ii for me) .. now the wait for second year is on. it was such a hard course .. and i feel like i hardly remember it now .. not necessarily the information but i do miss class in a weird way. guess i am just in a funk tonight. i miss talking to you all and feel hopelessly out of the loop. hope everyone else is doing ok.

Our final is comprehensive. I have started reviewing the note cards form the beginning of the semester and it all seems like a foreign language to me. I have a 97 average right now. Could I have forgotten all of that information or have I been studing wrong. My teacher seems to think that I should remeber this stuff. This is worring me because if I can't keep the information how will I make a good nurse. Someone tell me if I am being to hard on myself. I am confused.
