A&P II: The Summer '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Published

Decided to go ahead and create a new thread...

I am taking A & P II at Valencia Community College in Orlando FL. We start May 12th...

I am an Online ASN Student at Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis. I have taken a leave of absense for the summer so I will only be focusing on A & P. Guess I am not really a pre-nursing student, hope no one minds.

I am looking forward to sharing experiences!

Same here...one of the professors at the college wrote our lab book.

Cheri

our lab books are written by an instructor at our school as well, im taking AP1,2 and 3 (quarter school) at the same school and we get to use the same text, whew bc it cost me 175$ for one book!

I begin on May 16th. I'm taking both lecture and lab online just like I did for

A&P 1. This time, we're using the Tortora text and I'm glad. I hated the Marieb book last round. This is a 10 week session and I'm a little nervous about that. I'm really debating on whether it might be better to take an in-class lecture. I'm pretty sure I got an A in A&P 1 (waiting for grades to be posted), but it was tough online. You've really got to read the text completely and let's face it, the (Marieb) text is HARD reading and boring!

Let me join in on the APII Summer club. They finally opened up more spots (yay) so I got in for the summer. The class doesn't start until July 12. We are also using Marieb's book.

Hi there! I'll be starting A&P 2 May 31st.

Hi,

I started A&P II on May 3rd. I will definitely be checking this thread for help.

Hi ,

Just wondered where is this program at. I am very interested. :)

St. Petersburg College in Clearwater/St. Pete, Florida. http://www.spjc.edu

I hope you used the same one for A&P 1! I went to a different college for A&P 1 than I will be going to for A&P II. (Same college district, but different school)

So, I have to get a different lab book for A&P II. Luckily, they are using the same lecture book, and the lab book that the instructor wrote is not that much money! lol

Fortunately, I am going to the same college at the same campus...if I had changed campuses within this college, I would have been in the same position as you, having to buy the lab book used by the other campus. :uhoh3:

It is hated that I could not get the same professor as I had for A&P I...just getting to know a professor and how they communicate and test on information is a feat in itself.

Cheri :)

I'll be starting on May 31st - a 10-week course. It will be really nice to have it over and done with for the fall! I have my final in A&P I on Thursday of this week.... almost done! Good luck to everyone.

I had my first class last night and I got my most important wish...

a GOOD PROFESSOR... :yelclap:

We are starting with the Cardiovascular System and last night we focused in on BLOOD...I am a little nervous I had a semester inbetween A&P I and II...found out last night how rusty I have gotten...fortunately with some review today, I have been able to refresh myself.

Will be keeping the nose in the book this semester.

Cheri :)

Hi there,

count me in too. I will start A&P11 class May 31, 2005. :uhoh3:

Cheri that's great about the professor! A professor can make or break you. Don't worry about feeling rusty...when I started A&P I spring semester, I hadn't taken a bio class in over 2 years (changed from nursing to music and back again to nursing). It comes back to you. Good luck!
