I am taking A & P II online and I bombed my last two lab tests. I am having the hardest time figuring out the labelling exercises. I have Mosby's (Kevin T. Patton) Lab Manual. I am looking at the upper digestive tract (mouth) right now and I can't tell what is supposed to be tongue or soft palate or... agh! I am going crazy.

What is it like online? do you get to use open book for tests? How are the lab practicals performed? I am trying to decide whether to take it online or go to a different school to get it in the classroom. Any help would be appreciated.
Well, in my online classes (through a community college), the A & P tests are open book, except for proctored midterms and finals. The lab quizzes are open book and there are no proctored exams.
I like it, but I think I would learn a lot more doing a live dissection.

I am taking A&P I online. Labs are virtual with the help of a cd and a lot of websites. Lab quizzes are timed so you really don't have time to use the b ook... so they are tough. The midterm and final are at a testing center or proctored. I bombed my lab quiz this week but its not too bad if you really study.

I took A&P I and II online.
In the labs found that you have to use the lab manual almost exclusively. The answers I gave which were based on the textbook were usually the ones I got wrong.
Don't be afraid to copy any question you know you got right; but, was marked incorrect due to you not providing the *exact* answer the program was looking for (i.e. plurals). Spelling is another matter; if you misspell, your answer is wrong.
Good luck!

Yes, I have figured this out in the past-- some questions can have more than one "correct" answer. The problem is, that this professor is not willing to go back through and check the lab quizzes. It's very frustrating!
I took micro, dev psych, nutrition, bio, a&p I and II all online.
I didn't ask the instructor to look over the quiz or lab questions I knew where correct. I copied/pasted the answer marked wrong and sent it into them in an email as needed.
I don't know what I would have done if they instructors hadn't been willing to look at my answer and give credit where credit was due.
I probably would have written a letter to the dean and dropped the class.

where are you taking a&p II from? i'm wanting to take it during the summer, but wasn't sure what schools offered it online.
I took A&P I&II from Rio Salado a community college in Tempe AZ.
They allow you to take the class online elsewhere as long as you can set up proctored exams.
Note: A&P I&II are a difficult classes and I found they took a lot of time and effort to learn and get good grades on my own.
