Okay, so am I the only one crazy enough to be taking this during the summer?:uhoh21:
I've been so excited to finally get to take part in one of these things.
Anyways, school starts June 6 here. I bought my texts Wednesday (Marieb: Text and Study Guide-6th Edition; Lab-Cat Version-8th edition), and am pretty comfortable with Chapter One. I love the website, although it looks like my Prof won't be using the "My Anatomy" stuff. boo.
Can't wait to get this thread rolling. How is everyone else feeling?

I took my final lab test yesterday. I studied soooo hard and thought I knew everything! I told people around me that I felt good about it but you never know with this teacher/subject. They all agreed. Then the test came and sure enough he did it again. I was thrown for a loop. He put in some things like when the brain cavity is filled then what would it be. Dang it I hate that. After I came home I thought to myself how stupid that slide was because as a student I am not going to relate to an opposite like that where all the holes are filled. And I can't relate to it in real life. I may never see the inside of someones brain but its still good to know all the anatomy and what is affected by some disease. but the reverse one? who cares? Its not real. I'm just frustrated and venting. My last test is today. Oh how I wish the teacher hadn't said that this last test will be the hardest. I'm thinking..... I didn't know they could get any harder! LOL!
My A&P I class is finally over with! Grades are posted and everything. I forgot how much faster a summer class was. The teacher kept telling us that we were crazy for taking this class in the summer. lol

Thanks Fun2Care! The first time I took A&P I I got a C in the class but this summer I actually got an A! I was so happy to hear that because the nursing program I am applying to, the lowest GPA that they accepted for the preq's was 3.77 so that A will help me out a lot!

As for me, just bucking up for finals next week. The good news is I got a 101.5 (with extra points) on my 3rd test!! The bad news is that lab is completely stressing me out..I have a high B/low A, and TWO lab finals to go along with my lecture final. I have to put a skeleton together in under two minutes with my prof asking questions the whole time, and then a 200 point test on the cat--I am NOT seeing the heart stuff!! Augh...As for lecture, Cardio, Urinary & Reproduction--fun fun fun..
Do you have Anatomy only? ....just wondering why you are doing all those systems in A&P 1??????

Wow, you are doing so great congratulations. As for me, I am doing good as well. I think I am borderline A but I'll take whatever I earn :) Still 3 more weeks left before starting A&PII. But it is definetly fun.

Yay the instructor just posted the grades for the class. I got a B and am glad to take it! I did better on the final than I thought! I really studied and I have realized that I now have better study habits becuase of this class. You really have to study everyting and know everything to do well. You can't just go by what the instructor says.
Come Fall I will be taking Microbiology and A&P 2.
Fun2Care--I can't tell you how much I've used your website this semester..as a matter of fact, EVERY person in my lab now has your website! I'm taking both A&P I and II..I'm kinda nervous about part deux next semester because I've lost count on how many times I've heard "but we'll get to that [something sounding extremely difficult] in 318." So, how's MicroHell?
Jessica--Thanks so much!! CONGRATS TO YOU!!! An "A" is earth-shattering for the highs, mids, or borderlines like us. And, unless the prof is an ogre, as long as he/she sees you in every class, making every effort to do anything offered, etc, they'll give it to you. Great job, girlie! :balloons:
