A&P I: Fall '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Published

So, I'm in! I've got this and College algebra and I'm DONE with all my pre-reqs and related courses. I dropped this this past Spring, so I know how hard it is. Hopefully I'll have a better instructor this time that actually knows how to teach the class.

Hi all,

I am starting too.... My classes are seperate A and P that is. I am taking Anatomy this semester and Physiology next. I am a little overwhelmed too. I have 4 kids and am hoping to complete my prereq's this semester to get onto the waiting list at my school. Which is 4 classes. There is a really good study habits thread going around. I got somes great tips off it. Good luck to all!!!!

I am taking math, AP1 and Human nutrition (light load due to financial aid). I managed to get ALL my classes on TUES and THURS! Wow! :)

I had a 4 hr A&P survey course as a pre req for my "old" program and it was freakin HARD! I worked my booty off for a B. :chair: So, I am gearing up for a fun semester. Now I just need to gig out those flash cards and coloring books.

I'm taking A&P 1, Nutrition, Chem, and Hist. All on tues. & thurs. Pray for me. Has anyone on here taken this kind of load?

I am taking Anatomy, Dosages and Calculations, Intro to health careers and English comp. So I will be right there with you sister.... I took the English comp clep exam last week but I won't hear if I passed for a couple weeks. I sure hope I did because that will lighten my load considerably. I need to get these 4 pre req's out of the way to get my name on the waiting list. Otherwise it will be another 6 months.

I'm taking separate A and P classes and Chemistry, which isn't quite what you've got, but I also work 40+ hours a week for the D.o.D. on special flights. I think all I can handle right now is the three. It sounds like there's a few people here in the same kind of situation. Good luck to us all!

alright folks, this is my opinion. do not psych yourself out over a&p. it is a tough course, yes - i can tell that from looking at my book. tons of information to learn. but if you go to every class, pay attention, ask questions, and spend time studying, there's no reason you should not pass it. i think too many people make too big a deal out of it - mostly i think people (i know for a fact there are tons of these at my school) who barely scraped by because they didn't study hard enough, and who want to make themselves feel better by telling everyone they can that it is such a horribly hard course, and hell, and all of that jazz. as with any in-depth class, you have to study hard and keep on top of things. but i think that we should all pass with flying colors, especially since we have each other as a study group! just my opinion.

:yeahthat: :D Good luck to everybody, we will do just fine! Also, if you are feeling less than confident, try just going through the chapters briefly or a website or any type of review, that will give you a base in your head and then when you actually start the class, you can really absorb all the information that goes along with it and you will feel like you know at least a little something. ;) :)

Hi everyone, I'm starting A&P this fall as well (Aug 18th). I did Bio 101 over the summer and managed an A in the course. I know it will take triple the amount of studying to get an A in A&P! I found a website by a nursing student that has Hundreds of awesome lab pics (muscle, bones, everything) heres the url: http://nursingjourney.com/links.html

I love her site!
