A & P 1 -- Fall 2010

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

OK, I've started this thread for various past semesters and something always happened that made me have to drop the course.

But here I go again - just registered for A & P 1 for this coming fall!!!!! And I refuse to let anything get in my way this time...

So who's with me?

I am actually getting ready to start A&P 1 in a couple of weeks..a 3 week mini session! Yikes! Anyone ever took it in a minisession?? Any advice is appreciated...

I had 15 weeks, 5 hours a week (including lab). I have no idea how it could be covered in a mini-session. But then, I have no idea how it could be done online either.

This will be 3 hours a day for 3 weeks. Guess there is only one way to find out!;) Wish me luck!! Then I will be taking A&P 2 during the regular fall session.

I do wish you luck. I wish you all the best and will be very interested to see how this goes for you, please pop back in and let us know.

Is it three hours a day 5 days a week? in that case, well, wow...

:)

I'm also taking A&P I this fall. I'm very nervous, but also looking online to find some study tools. Working full-time and trying to go to school makes it difficult but it can be done!!! Good Luck to everybody!

Specializes in None, but plan to be well trained in all.

Good luck Nolamommy I had the option to take it in the summer but I choose not too! In ur search for study guides let us know also let us know the textbook your going to be using. Maybe a few of us will be using the same book..... Again good luck

I finish A&P 1 on tuesday. I have an A so far, but I really need to be sure I get a 90 on the final. I start A&P 2 May 11. So happy I will be done with A&P this summer.

Same here

I just registered to take A&P I in the fall as well. I have taken it before, years ago, and I do not have fond memories, lol! It was hard! BUT, I also didn't have good study habits back then, I'm much more serious about my studies now. I am taking Microbiology right now, and it's not too bad. I have a crazy professor though so it's impossible to study for her tests (she never tells you what will be on a test, just the chapters it will be on) but all her tests so far have been on-line and "open book"...but timed. I think I will do okay, but I'm nervous for this class because it's a lot of study time. I have 5 children, all under the age of 6 1/2. I'm a SAHM and study time is hard to come by. But I will make it work, I always do somehow!

I start A&P 1 June 1st. It's a short, condensed summer class, just five weeks! I already have the textbook and have been reading through it and taking notes so I don't drown the first few days. I haven't been in college in nine years.

Luckily I work for myself so my schedule is very flexible.

I told my husband and friends not to bother me for five weeks. I'm going to work and study. That's it.

I'm wanting to get some flashcards, any advice?

I have Mosby's Anatomy&Physiology Study and Review Cards and I absolutely love them!

I just registered for A&P1 for the fall! I am really nervous! I normally go part time but was told by my adviser that this class is like two so I should really only register for this one class. I have 3 kids that I stay home with, only one in school so I have limited time for study. Can any one offer any in-site on the complexity of it?

This is my first post although I have been lurking for a while.
