A- in A&P 1

Published

Hi everyone. I am a little concerned about my grade in A&P 1. I was planning to apply to competitive ABSN programs and in my first prereq (at community college) I got an A-. Is this a bad grade? I know its ideal to get all As so I am buggin.

An A- is unacceptable. Re-take the class and pray you get an A+.

Just remember that an A is an A. When I took my mirco class I got a 91 and had no problem getting in to the program. When your transcripts are sent over it only shows the letter grade, so you’re in the clear. My advice to you is pay extra attention in A&P II, this is the most important pre-req. Everything I learned in that class has helped me so much in my ABSN program.

You got an A-! Hello.....that's an awesome grade! @@ Quit worrying! I got Bs in both A&Ps and just graduated nursing school in May and getting those "horrible" Bs, didn't effect me in nursing at all. Enjoy the fact that you didn't fail!

I agree with MrSpock. You have an A which will show them that you can memorize well. The class you need to focus on is A&P2...which is the class that will test how well you can understand body systems. Stay focused and you will do well.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was planning to take A&P2 at my four year university, but it costs more than twice as much as the CC class. So, I think I am stuck at CC until September.
