Hi Everyone :)

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone that's applied to the Navarro College ADN-RN program starting Fall 2012.

Figured we needed a place to post, ask each other questions etc. while waiting on our acceptance letters..... I was told they won't be sent out until the end of May. Has anyone else heard otherwise?

@Makey: I agree, Dimensional Analysis was great! :) I felt like I was learning it so fast!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that the fundamentals is as fun. ;)

@Shalynn: Nah, not way ahead at all. Weigh the pros and cons of buying ebooks. The price that was given at orientation is crazy. They told us the books would cost so much (like $900 or something, right?), and I got mine for less than $300! :) So if you decide to get ebooks, get them from Amazon or elsewhere. I'd hate for them to swindle you or any other nursing student out of money that might be needed throughout the program. I wish they had a heart and sold it to us at a reduced price...I mean how much profit do they need? BTW which books haven't you got yet? Some aren't really mandatory or required per se.

Hey guys!

So I just caught up on reading all of y'alls back and forth messages! Tim & Red, I am pretty sure I sat next to y'all during orientation! I didn't recognize anyone else I don't think!

Who all is getting the e-books? I think the lady has me SOLD on them!:thankya: For those of you who are purchasing them, do we have to wait for them to "come in" or are they available now??? THANKS!

You were in the back row? :) on Tim's side? Or mine?? :p I think the pageburst (eBooks) will be @ the Corsicana Campus bookstore ASAP. You might be able to buy straight from the Elsevier website as well... I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna get the fundamentals eBook, since I already have all of the books in hard copy.

I was on Tim's side and to my right side was another guy. I tried looking on the Elsevier website but it looks like I'll have better luck just going to the school!

@Caterific: Awesome!!!!!!! So were you the girl with blonde hair or brownish hair? :p When things got underway, some people in the back row moved to a place where there were papers. You were still in the back row whenever orientation ended?

@Tim, nope my hair is black! Lol and yes I sat back there the whole time. I had glasses & a black top on!

I remember who you are :)

Awwwwww so close!!!!!!!!!!!! :thankya: I remember you :)

For those of you who brought the True Red Landau scrubs in Wax., how much were they there? Thanks!

$16.99 for the top :) and the guy gave me a 10 or 20% discount on top of that. Can't remember which

Just because or did you say anything special? Lol

LOL :) I just said that I needed the scrubs for RN school @ Navarro.... oh and I think I said I hate the color RED at least 10 times hahahahh the guy was really helpful and had a lot of patience; I must have tried on 15 different lab coats and asked his opinion on every one.

Out of the 2 options we have- in my opinion, the "scrubzone" Landau (70221) is more flattering :) I'm glad that I tried both styles on, because at first, I wanted the other one.
