I have done a few searches, but haven't found many responses (or at least newer) re: St. Joseph's nurse practitioner program. I'm considering it because it seems flexible, reasonable, and like a good opportunity from what I can tell. Please share your experiences!! Is $600/credit reasonable for an online program? I feel it's almost worth it so that I can start sooner rather than later!

Thanks in advance :)

i submitted my application but i now must send over my essay, resume and transcripts. praying everything will be in before oct 1

Smartypants31us,

thanks for your posts. please keep us up dated when you hear back. :)

hello everyone.

is anyone from you from los angeles california? The reason I asked is because i am having problem finding preceptors for clinical rotations for the FNP program St Joseph College. Maybe you have any suggestions or recommendations. Thank you.

I'm not from the LA area but there is probably a nurse practitioner council in your

LA area (maybe google to find) and from there you will probably have a chance at finding the right preceptor...good luck....I hope to hear you found a preceptor.....

thank you. I really hope i can find a solution to my problem. thanks for the reply.

you are welcome...LA is progressive and I'm sure when you inquire into the nurse

practitioner council of LA there will be an abundance of preceptors...let us know how it goes.....

Those of you that are in clinicals, do you feel prepared? I'm having a hard time picturing myself being comfortable with performing sutures, I&D's, etc without any hands on training. I know it's far in the future for me, but please let me know it's going!

letters will be sent out hopefully but the 25th of this month

How did you find out about the letters? Did you inquire at St. Josephs-just curious to know....

were you able to connect with a preceptor?

Thanks for the info! I have not heard anything back yet either so it's helpful to know I am not the only one.

I just finished the Georgetown online introduction...it looks to be a great program, the G2 platform and all, but I thought it was too expensive.....1623/credit hour, the FNP is 45 credit hours....
