I have done a few searches, but haven't found many responses (or at least newer) re: St. Joseph's nurse practitioner program. I'm considering it because it seems flexible, reasonable, and like a good opportunity from what I can tell. Please share your experiences!! Is $600/credit reasonable for an online program? I feel it's almost worth it so that I can start sooner rather than later!
Thanks in advance :)
Hi NataschasaxU Welcome to Saint Joesph
So far the school has been o.k there was a rough start when it came to clinicals but seems like they have worked out some of the bugs. I am completing my first round of clinicals I will try to keep you guys posted the 2nd round of clinicals starts soon.
Norik95, good another new person! how did you know which class to take first. are you taking only one or are you going to try two? what kind of nursing do you do now? i called and was told i got in. do you recieve more information in the mail to guide you to which classes to take when? lots of questions.
NAtashaxu , I am taking 1 class at a time .. I work full time as a nurse case manager for manage care plan for the elderly .. Cover mostly Nusring facilities and Short ternm rehabs and ALTCs.. I received acceptance letter and list of classes this weekend. I called to my advisor and she told me what classes to take first , they are : nursing informatics NU 501 or Nursing leadership NU 506 . The letter stated that acceptance is " provisional till 6 credit courses are successfully completed w GPA 3.0 or better "... I will start w Nusring informatics I think ..
how about you?
Hey natashaxu and norik95! I am also new and will be starting with NU 501 ( Nursing Informatics) I think, still waiting on my package as well, but I have been registered for the class. I was told in my email that in the next few weeks I would be getting all of the info for the class.
I was wondering about the books? Is it a few books or only one? Anyone know?
Hello classmates....:)
I received the good news last PM in my mailbox
re accepted to St. Josephs College of Maine! just was overjoyed, waiting every day of last week for some news....in reading all the posts here, hope we can continue to talk with one another and assist each other
in a successful journey. Re what class to take first, I do not know
as of yet and would like to take 2 classes. My adviser will
be in touch soon enough. The student who shared the 1st clinicals at the college
were bumpy, I am curious to know what did that mean? I am staying in Daytona Beach, anyone close by attending the college?
