Trauma,

thank you you so much for your input! Congrats on your success thus far. Is there a particular reason why you were drawn to CCN FNP program? To be honest, I couldn't come up with 3 recommendations and CCN makes it easy to get accepted by not jumping threw hoops.

So have you taken a single class at a time or did you double up? And if you did, would u reccomend taking 2 classes at a time and which ones? I work one to two 12hr shifts a week so I'm thinking I could handle 2 at a time. I went to Jacksonville University for my RN-BSN and I took 2 classes at a time and they were 8week classes. How many ppl are in your cohort/class? I will be curious to see how many graduates there will be in April as most schools have a graduation rate/percentage attached to their program. I agree as the big review at the end of the program is a fantastic idea!

Again, congratulations!!!! You should be super proud of yourself!

1TraumaNurse,

Can you talk about usual class work and what in your opinion has been the worst? What has been the average length of papers and how often per class are you writing them? My personal fear is that FNP requires more than just papers, you actually have to assess and diagnose people which is hands on. What has been your longest paper? In your opinion has grading been fair/straightforward or has maintaining high grades been difficult?

Hi. I have been looking into chamberlain for the RN to NP program but some people keep telling them they aren't fully accredited. Is that true?

That is false, Chamberlain is fully accredited

Thank you so much. I was so worried because i did want to apply to chamberlain but a nurse practitioner should be something on their website that said they are under review and not fully accredited because there hasn't been a passing class as of yet. I just don't want to go thru a program and have to switch to a different school. I have applied to south university as well but have to go thru their BSN program first. I already have a bachelors in health science. Any advice?

Is anyone from Massachusetts doing the FNP? I know they weren't accepting Ma residents for awhile, but I'm not seeing anything on the website that states that anymore. Thanks!
