Is it a wise choice to take these classes together?

I took micro, physiology, and statistics all in the same semester and got A's in all of them. All I did for those 17 weeks was sleep, study, work, study, sleep. By the end of the semester I was pretty burnt out, but if you're motivated it's doable. I just had to keep my eye on the prize. That's what got me through.

i did take micro, physics, a&p 2 in one semester and ended up dropping micro. But then again my teacher was dreadful when i took micro and i ended retaking it with a diff teacher and made an a. I really wouldnt take micro with a & p bc you want to focus and read as much as you can in a & p as possible and when you take micro, you want to devote yourself solely to that class.

wow at least you guys get to choose. At my cc our courses are pretty much pre-determined.Well guess that because we are in different parts of the world lol. Well we had to take A&P 1,micro,psychology,medical terminology,English,Professionalism and sociology together.Think prayer was the only thing that got me through. It really was tuff.

Another thing I want to add is that I was only working 12 hours a week when I was taking these classes. Anything more and I probably would of had to drop one of my classes.

wow i think the anatomy and microbiology but its up to you, determination is the key, So i beleive in you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!:yeah:

Specializes in SDU, Tele.

In my school, AP1 and 2 and Chemistry are prereqs for Micro... so I don't know what to say. Taking two sciences together is good practice for NS and really isn't much of a big deal if you are willing to give up TV and stuff........ depends on you, I think.

wow

in my college (RCC), you are lucky to have both A&P and chem or any mixture of the science classes together in 1 semester. you usually have to fight for at least 1 science class a semester and sometimes you cant even get in.

like recently, when my registration date starts for when i am ABLE to pick a class, every science class is not only full, but their waitlist is FULL (which is like 32 seats taken, 32 people on the waitlist).

i suggest going to ratemyprofessors.com and see how they grade and how they lecture, and if they are not a total hardass.

How many hours a week would you say you need to devote just to studying for two science classes together? I'm willing to put in the work, but I do have a job (that I can't quite) so I'm wondering if it makes sense for me.

I've done it before and I got an A in all 3. It's not that bad, sometimes micro and A+P work together. I did A+P 2 and micro and sociology together. Psych and Sociology are about the same difficulty. Just set time to study each individual subject and do the work for micro. the labs were the most time consuming. My school actually set the curriculum to take these classes together so it's def do-able.

I dropped the Micro. So I'll be taking Psy, Human Anatomy 1, Philosophy, and maybe statistics
