Who else is waiting for Fall 2014 acceptance?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I applied to Goldfarb in St. Louis, MO about a week ago. Its going to be a long 4-6 weeks until I find out. Luckily, I'm still taking some pre-req's so that will help me pass the time as I wait.

Any other fall 2014 hopefuls out there?

You are lucky, I had to wait about six months until I found out! Study for your prereqs and make sure you have a backup plan just in case (My advisor always said "hope for the best, plan for the worst!"). The time will go by fast if you don't think about it too much! Best of luck!

You mean 2013?

I'm in St. Louis too! I'm at Maryville and will hopefully get in for the Fall 2014 class. I have to finish this summer, fall and then spring of prerequisites. There are so many nursing schools in St. Louis to choose from what made you decide on Goldfarb? I hope we both get in good luck!

I have a 4.0 and they go by GPA so I was told as long as I keep my GPA up (which I will) I am almost guaranteed a spot!

Wow, your applications must be available early! I plan on applying for Fall 2014, but the applications won't be available til the fall.

I am applying to Molloy College, Adelphi University, or Beth Israel School of Nursing for Fall'14.

I applied to Hopkinsville Community College. I was put on the wait list so I have to wait anywhere from July 9th to August 9th to find out if I am called off the list and will be accepted :(

Nope, Lori, I mean 2014! I have to apply one year out from the desired semester I wish to start.

Ant - I chose Goldfarb mainly due to the proximity to my house, but also because of its recognition as a great program. I live not too far from Central West End. Goldfarb and SLU would be super convenient for me, distance wise. Also, I applied first to Goldfarb because they have rolling admissions so ideally, if I get in, I can start right away next fall... whereas at UMSL (my second pick) or SLU (third) I cannot even apply until next fall for the fall 2015 term. I'm looking at Maryville, too, since their fall 2014 application opens up in a couple of days, but Maryville would be WAY out of the way for me. Considering I will have three kids to shuffle around in the mornings I will pursue the other options before I pursue Maryville.

Specializes in Maternal Child, Home Health, Med/Surg.

That's crazy!! I am hoping for fall 2014 but our application process doesn't open up until December, and closes in may!

Wow, that's def early to be able to apply for next fall! My BSN program that starts in jan that I just applied to, accepts apps until sept 1st and next fall isn't available till next may! Good luck!

I received my acceptance letter today - I'm in!! :)
