Where to Buy Textbooks for Cheaper?

I will be starting my prereqs in January, and the first class I am taking is A&P I. I am looking for websites where you can purchase textbooks for cheaper than our school store.

Does anyone have some recommendations on where to look?

i've had great luck using chegg.com for book rentals. any class that was a prereq for another class, or a class whose book i didn't plan on keeping, a lot of the rental rates were perfect. i paid $30 for my chemistry book rental this past summer. there's also campusbookrentals.com i think, though i've never used it.

abebooks.com has been of great service in finding international editions. they don't come with online access or CDs, but the books are exactly the same inside with a soft cover and a much cheaper price. i've used these for books i'm keeping like AP/Gen Chem/Micro.

A+P Is one class that I don't feel you need the most up to date editions. I ended up getting one edition older on Amazon, all the same graphs/tables/diagrams, and even some helpful ones that were ommited in the newer edition. Its a little frustrating because the pages don't line up exactly, so you have to search around when the professor mentions something. But I got it used on amazon for 4 bucks delivered. Compared to 150+ new. No contest.

I really like chegg.com to rent textbooks. I'll never buy another text again unless I know I'm going to keep it and refer to it in the future. I managed to rent the latest edition of a Microbiology book

Look for international editions on ebay. These books are cheaper and the content is the same as US edition.
You can always rent a book on chegg.com

I have just used chegg.com for the first time this term. It is great. I rented one book, the previous edition, for $11.99. (Our instructor had even said we could use the older edition). I ordered another book on Tuesday night after the first meeting of a new class and the book was delivered on Friday, in time for the next class on Saturday. I wish I had known about this book rental site several hundred dollars ago.
