Hi Everyone! I am currently completing the last class at PJC pre-reqs and co-reqs. I was notified that I have been accepted and am on board to start clinicals in January. Was curious if there is anyone out there going to be starting at PJC in the Spring also?:nurse: Oh...I have submitted applications to Sacred Heart Hospital for a scholarship too. Hoping to hear from them soon also.

I am! I would have started in fall, but I got pregnant.... But anyway, I've got my packet all ready to turn in on monday. Im hoping I dont have to submit any thing else b/c i want to get my schedule set so I can get my books and start our reading assignments. BTW, do you know what she means by "stethoscope with a rotating bell"?

Congrats!

Hey there! Congrats to you also! I have to have a passport photo taken this week sometime and my packet will be all set for Monday too. So, do you live in Pcola? I am in Pace. What was your preferred schedule? Mine is the afternoon one...My order is 1,2,3 on my cover. You? Well, hope to meet you. We have a study group forming with me and some friends if you are interested. Do you myspace or facebook? I am pretty excited about starting my clinicals. Talk to you soon. :clown: (april)

I turned my packet yesterday at like 9am and I still haven't gotten my classes. There was only a small stack ahead of me and I was sure it would be fairly quick...Do you know if anyone has gotten theirs? I think my order was 231. I didn't want the Monday clinical because I didn't want to have to go to the hospital to pick up my assignment on a Sunday night and have it interfer with church.

I live off the back gate of NAS, like 10 mins away from school. I'm all for study groups, but with the kids I'm not sure how it would work out. I have a 4 year old girl, Kiley; a 2 year boy, Johnathon (John); and an 8 week old little girl, Alexah (Lexi).

I really hope she gets our schedules done today, I sooo want to go get my books. I have financial aid so until that schedule comes up I cant do anything. Maybe today? I hope...

Have a Great Day! :D

I got on spyglass tonight!!!! Woohoo!!! I got my schedule. I thought we were supposed to get an email but my friend told me that we would only get an email if something was missing in our packet so check your spyglass!!! I am in the afternoon classes.:D

I still haven't gotten my schedule:down:.... Like I said I was in there at 9:01am. When did you turn yours in? I've been checking spyglass and pirate mail and I havent' heard anything. At least I know she's started working on them... Congrats on getting your first choice! I hope I get my schedule soon....

Have a Great Day!

I am a little embarrassed to say that I was the first one there. I was there at 6:30 and my app was accepted at 7:01 am...:clown: Good luck! I hope you get yours too.

No need to be embarrassed! That was my plan, but since Kiley has to be in preschool at 8:30, I didn't know if I would have had time to turn in my packet and get her dressed and fed in time. And not to mention I was just too lazy to get my but up anyway! Were there alot of other people waiting? There didn't seem to be too many packets in the stack when I got there, maybe 10 from what I could tell. I was told that I might not get my schedule until next Wednesday ! A week and a half and I turned it in at 9:01????? What was the point in not accepting until Dec. 1 if she wasn't going to be focusing on getting them completed???? Maybe I'm being silly but that just seems rediculous to take that long. I really hope I get it today!!!!!

Hi there! I am starting in Jan too. Yes, I was there at 7:30 and there was already a big stack. Haha! I did end up getting my pick of a schedule so I'm assuming you both got yours too, right! What will your schedules be? Mine is clinicals tuesdays with lecture on Thur & Fri.

Hey!

I've got M&T lecture, Thurs. clinicals... I was worried at first since classes on a Thurs. that I wouldn't know where to go or what to do, but luckily after that email was sent out (you did get that right?) I was much more relaxed! Good luck in class!

Have a Great Day!

Hello All,

I am thinking about applying to PJC for the start of Fall of 2010. I am finishing up some pre-reques. I was just wondering how everything is going. Also, I was just wondering how the process works? If I am done with my Pre-requs this December 2009, do you think I would have a chance to get into the program for August/ Fall start? Thanks so much, I hope you are all doing great. I would love to know how clinicals are going!:specs:

Hey whats up buddy, I start at PJC in january 2010. The first thing I would recommend is get your NLN test done, its easy as pie, at the same time get your health related math exam done, if you don't get 26 out of 35 right, you will have to wait 3 months to retake it . It was only fractions and decimal conversions. I know you need english, algebra, a&p I and I cant remember the last one. But if you have everything done by the end of december you will be a shoe in. remember you have to have a 2.5 gpa. msg back if you need any other advice ;). have a couple of buddies that start next month, and some that started in january already. :D
