I am Taking Micro
My micro lecture was, wait is the most boring but if I read the chapter questions at the end of each chapter and studies his notes, I do well. Have an A in the class so far but it is getting harder. Best of Luck!:typing

Online Microbiology?
Hmmm....not sure about Micro online. I am taking both Lab and Lecture at class. The lab is phenomenol. The lecture is kinda boring....goes thru notes, nothing I couldn't read on my own. Not sure if you took A&P online. If you can do that, you can do this one online too. Best of luck.:typing

Waiting List: Pensacola Junior College (pjc), Florida
Hi Everyone! I am currently completing the last class at PJC pre-reqs and co-reqs. I was notified that I have been accepted and am on board to start clinicals in January. Was curious if there is anyone out there going to be starting at PJC in the Spring also? Oh...I have submitted applications to Sacred Heart Hospital for a scholarship too. Hoping to hear from them soon also.

advise for pre-entrance exam
I completed the NLN this past Saturday and passed. You must obtain a 50% of higher cummulative grade for PJC. Each section has 80 questions-timed test. There is not a lot of time. Vocab is not simple vocab...need to study up on word roots. Reading comprehension...basics but don't take a lot of time reading because there is not a lot of time. Read the questions first so you know what you are looking for. Math is fractions, percentages, algebraic equations, know your algebra rules for signs, proportions, perimeters of triangle. Definitely need to know the metric unit conversions for KING HENRY..GRAMS TO MILLI, etc, need to know supplementary angle is 180, intersection of lines, convert Celcius and Farenheit, Kelvin conversion. Science was hard but the NLN study guide would be a great help. Diffusion and osmosis, ATP, concentration gradients, plant parts-cuticle, blood, erythrocytes are responsible for, frog skin cell type, Boyle's Law, anerobic respiration, lactic acid build-up causes cramps, tendons connect muscles kidneys and excretion of blood and sugar in urine means, sperm reside in testes, pap smear scrapes cervix, question about the eye, cone and rode, eye parts, retina iris,, basic chemistry coved the atomic number, proton, neutron, and electron make-up, isotopes, tincture, salt solutes, chemical and physical changes, Boyle's Law, activation energy, catalysts, newton human body weight, gravity rules, period and cycles of a wave, Coulombs law, food web....there is just a "few" haha things that my NLN book covers. I would highly recommend doing the exercises and taking a few months to prepare for the test. Oh, and bring ear plugs. I am so ADD-the time really stressed me out and the noise...argh! Good luck to everyone with entrance exams and remember to prepare, study, prepare....It is an expensive test to have to retake and you can only take it once every 6 months.

Pensacola nursing schools good?
I am currently a first year student-have taken all the pre-reqs. Hope to start my NUR classes in the NIGHTS and WEEKENDS in Jan 09. So far, school has been awesome. A bunch of the pre-req are offered on line. PJC just received their nomination for accreditation a couple of weeks ago. It looks like they will obtain it!!! I am pretty excited because the travel to Alabama for nursing school was not something I was looking forward to. PJC is a fine community college. Nursing students get out what they put into their education. I can't wait to finish--one of these days....
