  5. Its great to hear from someone who has actually taken the test I was beginning to think it wasnt a real test. anyway, boy do I have questions, well first of all I purchased the LPN/LVN guide to pre assessment test book, do you think it will help and did you use a study guide and is there one for the DET, also anything you can think of that I might really need to know in order to go well on the test I'm not great at math but im taking it this spring and im planning on getting some tutoring also, but any information you can give or something you remember from the test that can help me to be prepared. thanks
  6. Does anyone have any information about the DET test please respond
  7. What exactly does it mean if the community college's LPN Program isn't accredited?
  8. thanks
  9. If someone was arrested at 18 and fingerprinted and the judge threw out your case and said he would throw out the file would it still show up on FBI records?
  10. Im about to register for Introdution to Nursing, Im wondering should I purchase a nurses kit ,I want to be fully prepared and I also want to be able to use them at home for practice
  11. Well, technically I start A&P Jan.3 but I already have the book and Ive started taking notes from the key points, answering the questions in the study guide and doing the end of chapter reviews and using the interactive disk it came with and im on chapter 3 now and ive spent nearly 8 hours a day studying so far, but its so interesting I cant put the book down.:)
  12. sounds like u did great. I only took one class this quarter(tuition has gone up $65 and cant afford anymore than one class now) but I got an A in Med Term, taking Anat & Phys. next wish me luck
  13. thanks for the replies guys,
  14. Thanks for the reply. After asking around and sending plenty of emails, they finally told me the test is the DET. Even though they only accept 40 students into the LPN prg isnt my problem so I want to get a study to be one of the 40 to get in. The test is Summer of 2006 so when I get the study guide this month it wont be cramming at all,Im just protecting my investment in making sure I get in. I know its not graded but it is how they pick their 40 students and this is just a way to weed out people and of course they wouldnt want all 200 of their applicants to score highly on the assessment so im guessing thats why they dont want students to prepare themselves.
  15. Hey, just had to say only you know what is right for you, if you want to do cna, lpn,rn thats just fine. Im starting with lpn then rn then nurse pract. cause it is what is right for me at this point in my life, of course i get those comments that i should just go for my RN, but of course if thats what I wanted to do then I would be going for my RN now wouldn't I? Never let someone tell you what the plans you have made for yourself isn't worth it.Of course it is worth it if it is what u want and thats all that matters. Honey take your time do what is right for you, take people's advice and move on. I get those kinds of comments all the time.
