Doing associates in nursing the same time I am doing bachelors in accounting
I completed Anat & physio and chem which are required and I have completed the rest of the liberal education needed for entry in the community colleges near me for nursing. Only one community college requires microbiology which I could do over the summer.

Doing associates in nursing the same time I am doing bachelors in accounting
I have just finished my associate's degree and I would just need the nursing courses to get a nursing degree. I thought I could also complete a bachelor in accounting in a nearby university. That way I would finish my nursing degree and my accounting degree in two and half years. I would have two degrees in span of one semester difference. This way I can have two different jobs that both make good money. Is this a good idea?

Can you live a luxury lifestyle as a nurse?
My question is towards nurses that have been in the field for couple of years. I was wondering can you life a nice luxury lifestyle as a nurse? My definition of luxury would perhaps revolve around the ability to own a large 5 bedroom house, the ability to drive a luxury vehicle like BMW or Mercedes Benz, and the ability to take vacations every year perhaps to a different country. Is this too much to ask for as nurse or this beyond the dreams of most nurses and would single nurses be able to achieve this over married with kids nurses?

Do nurses make more money than a biological sciences degree such as biology?
Putting it interms of a "fall-back career" makes it sound bad. I have just realized i need a job straight out of college that gives me a specific training. There is a huge demand for nurses and the compensation are great especially for a guy like me who is single and can work around the clock. plus i want to be able to move to other states knowing there are jobs available. biochem degree leaves me with a bunch of options - biotech, biomed, industry, government, research institutes, etc, as well as most non-science jobs. But none of them are widely available nationwide such as a nurse, nor do they compensate as much. Am split between the middle right now. This is my sophmore year and i need to decide now or else live a horrible life ever after .

I have a 3.6 GPA for the nursing prerequisite, it's just the upper science/math courses that are hurting me. I believe i could easily get into nursing just am much as i can continue my biochemistry education.

Do nurses make more money than a biological sciences degree such as biology?
Do nurses make more money than a biological sciences degree such as biology? I was wondering this question becouse am currently a biochemistry mojor and i keep getting C's on the sciences classes. I don't think i want to go to graduate school nor will i be applicable. Will nursing offer me a better job prospective, better pay, better job security than a biochemistry degree alone? Please don't say choose the one that makes you happier or a better at, lets assume am equally happy with both degrees. RN or a biochemstry? choose your path.

first year community college i got good GPA, second year university i got bad GPA
My first year at a community college i got gpa of 3.8. I took most of the general requirements and most of the classes seemed easy. My second year i got accepted to the university of minnesota, i wanted to do pre-med, so, i took physics with calculus 1 and 2, i took O/chem 1 and 2. I have gotten mostly C's which killed my new GPA i started at the university with. I no longer want to do pre-med, i want to get BSN and latter become NP. I don't think i have a shot at getting into the nursing program at the university i go to becouse of my low GPA. I don't know if they will look at just the university GPA or both the university and the community college commulative GPA. Should i try to get good GPA and apply to the nursing program at the university i got to know, or should i go back to the community college and get ADN with my good GPA there and transfer to another state university and get a BSN and latter get my NP?
