I can't believe that after I finished my pre reqs and took my teas test and passed it, I had to wait almost 4 months just to get an idea of this waiting list. I thought they forgot about me and was panicking lol. I was even thinking if my application went thru or not. Well finally on june 5th, I received my acceptance letter stating that I will start in May (Summer 2015). Anyone else out there too? Im sure they say one can be bumped up earlier than that. Another question, all the things required in that breakdown of things u need to purchase for nursing 1, (watch with second hand, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, 2 calculators) does all that come in a bundle or do we have to go get these things individually?

I am very excited/nervous. Everyone that I come in contact with is telling me that this is the hardest thing they've ever done. Yeap I feel so much better lol. I wish I had a head start of the material nursing term 1 because I do not want to be lost. Anyone knows what topics it consist of? By the way im new on here! First post :-D hope to make new friends that are going thru the same and possibly classmates.

Congrats for starting early! I will start next year and I have a question about the shoes we need to wear. I am aware that we need to wear all white sneakers. I recently saw all white walking sneakers at Nike on clearance but the there is a light blue swoosh/check logo on the side of each shoe. Would that be ok? Any other info on the uniforms would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats, im not an expert of what not to wear but if they state all white then thats what you should get. I got all white. And if u read the convo I mentioned some stuff on uniforms :-) hope it helps

congrats to all of you starting this fall! i will be starting in spring 2015. i was invited to start this summer and fall but had to decline cause i wasn't ready. but i am so excited that its coming up really soon!

@spangle no worries...everything will be fine...i applied in July 29th 2013 and didn't receive my acceptance till November 7th 2013! they have been really back up with all the changes...so i have heard. lol..

hi I am going to start in Spring 2015 as well.Did u get any info on what we have to get done I heard a lot of things but I have no idea. Let me know if you find out anything and I will also keep you posted. :)

I emailed some of the staff and was able to get info on the CPR requirements and shot record requirements... I was told that other than those two things we have to wait for everything else after orientation. I have the stuff saved in my computer somewhere and will try to post it here when I find it. My friend is graduating today from Valencia Nursing program and we will be talking in the next few weeks.so I will keep u posted on what she tells me. Also she already told me that you can get whatever kind of stethoscope you want any color. Cause I found some good ones on eBay. And as for the all white shoes she said not everyone had all white. That some had gray in them. She also told me before that to study and know your dosage calculations. Cause u will get tested every term and you have to pass it to move on. And you can only miss like 2-4 questions. Um...that's all I can think about right now...if I can think of anything else I will def let you know

Hey guys..for those who are starting in spring with me...just got an email saying that orientation will be most likely Friday November 7th. If they have to change it she said it will be the following Fri.. I emailed them a few days ago just to get a heads up. So I can plan accordingly.

Also my friend that just graduated left on a cruise so as soon as she gets back we will be talking...I'm gonna get all the good info..lol...

Lots of info including deadlines for the requirements, class schedule, books, uniform. I thought they did a good job explaining the processes.

Gathering your medical records, shots, immunization early would probably help.

I almost forgot to register on the 22nd and was close to being left to the osceola campus...lucky there were 2 slots left for west.

Thanks tvleon, my brother who graduated in valencia said you can be straight A but you fail the whole term if you fail in dosages. Wow.

I am starting this month also with u Xtian and crazy thats on july 22nd I tried registering in west campus and it was already full that day! Jeeze. So Osceola it is. I tried finding the teacher in rate my professor and couldnt find a trace! I want to know how good is she in that program. The worse thing that could happen is being stuck with a horrible teacher for a program that intense. Do you know anything?

Hi Kayrox, I actually registered around 5pm that day and there were two left for the Gold, I wanted to register for the Red. I searched for the professors and you are right I was not able to find info on the Osceola profs as well, and on the Gold I was only able to find one. Both profs on Red have really great reviews...so too bad for us I guess. Dont worry, on the second semester we will all be in the West campus (correct?). On the brighter side, it seems the environment in Osceola is a little bit more relax and it looks like there are fewer students too. There are only 28-30, and not 40. So good luck to us all!

Guys, do you know any male student in nursing? I bought the top white scrubs and was wondering why it has the "thing" at the back by the waist, I thought those are just for female?
