Taking Micro lab while pregnant

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi everybody

I'm pregnant and due on Jan 06th. I'm taking A&P1 this semester. I tried to take A&P 2 for fall semester but the good professors' classes don't match my schedule. I'm thinking of taking Micro during fall semester instead of A&P 2 but I'm not sure if it's ok to attend lab while I'm pregnant.

Anyone has any suggestions or experiences?

When in doubt, email the professor. I don't recall using any harsh chemicals or anything else that gave off fumes in my micro lab. Talk to your adviser, or email the teacher.

This is something you should discuss with your health care provider. You may wish to contact the instructor before an appointment so that you can have any additional information, such as lists of chemicals you may be working with, ready at the appointment.

Thank you guys

I had a lady that was pregnant in my micro lab last semester and she did fine. The only thing that bothered her sometimes was the smell of the bacteria that we were working with. Her doctor gave her the OK to attend lab while pregnant since we weren't using anything that was too dangerous for her or the child. I would check with your doctor just to be sure though.
