NLN A&P Exam

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello everyone,

I am going to be taking the NLN A&P exam in the next few months and I am looking for some help on what to study. Has anyone taken it yet? Our school just switched from the NLN PAX Exam to the A&P Exam. I have called the NLN and there is no review guide available. I am not getting much help on what areas of A&P 1 and 2 would be the best to focus on and there is a lot of information. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! Did you take the test yet?? My school just switched to the A&P Exam as well and I am having the hardest time finding a review guide! Did you have any luck finding anything to help??

Nikky - What school do you go to? From your name, I think we go to school together and if it is you we had Pharmacology class last night... Allison

Nope that was not me, I go to Goodwin college.

I go to Goodwin also and no I have not found any information out at all about this exam.

I'm taking this test tomorrow. Really wish that if they weren't going to provide a study guide that they at least gave us a bit of what to expect. I've either overstudied or understudied, and I'm not sure which.

Good Luck tomorrow Amy - you will do great!!!!!! -I have studied two semesters of AP for the last 11 days straight and I am taking it on Friday and my brain feels like mush. If you don't mind, let me know who it is.

I feel like I've either overstudied or understudied, if that makes sense. A 96-100 on this test puts me at 22 points. Less than that and I'm at 21, which if I remember correctly was not good enough last semester. Who can remember when their brain feels like cheez wiz? I certainly plan to let people know what to expect. I feel like a guinea pig going into this. My professor assured me that the NLN is easier than her tests were and I had an A in both A&P I and II. I'm hoping that she was right and that my brain recalls it all. A little nervous!

When they say study your A&P, that's really what they mean, haha. If you took A&P at Goodwin it should be a breeze. Obviously haven't gotten my score back yet (the paper tests take longer for results) but I feel really good about it. I studied by going back through the text book and doing the checks at the end of the chapters and for the most part I'd say it's all there. Good luck!

Amy did you feel that the questions on the exam were in depth or more basic? Were there any diagrams on the exam?

Did anyone get their score yet for this exam?

I got my score which was 80. I am not sure if that is good enough to get into the nursing program. I have 20 points and am praying it will be this time. I am currently waiting to find out if I am accepted into the summer 2012 nursing program. My GPA is 3.6 and have been at Goodwin since 2008. This is my second time applying to the program and just completed my Associates in Health Sciences.
