  1. I start on Monday and am overwhelmed by all the work and reading that needed to be done before even setting foot in the classroom. Although, I am determined to do this!!! I have to agree...the waiting and not knowing was awful...I checked my mailbox sometimes three times a day...lol!!!
  2. I did not use the book at all, i focused only on my APII powerpoints and some notes from lab class. Focus on areas of great importance. All about the heart....hormones...cells...ect. If you did well on your APII final...I am sure you will do OK...there were no diagrams on the one I took!
  3. cng626, at least you got a feel for the test and totally know what to expect when you do take it again. I would have taken the test too if I was in your shoes. Good luck!
  4. Oh, and I crammed it all the studying in within 3 weeks...thats when i found out the test was changed to all A and P questions.
  5. I competed A and P II over a year ago....I studied every night about 4 hours off my AP II powerpoints...that helped me quite a lot...good luck on your test:)
  6. I am in the evening class and my clinical is on tuesday.
  7. Well, i got the clinical i wanted. Thank God:)
  8. I hope so because I am only able to do a tuesday or wednesday clinical. I talked to my advisor and she said that when a student has trouble with the clinical days that they are stuck with, the school will offer incentives to another student to switch with them. I also found out that you need a flu shot to start the clinicals. I am still trying to get the paperwork from having that done. Can't wait to start....so excited!!!
  9. I was a little suprised to see that the clinicals that are being offered for the May start are all 7am to 4pm....I thought they offered some evenings? Is there a lot of swapping for the clinicals at orientation? I am just worried I will get stuck with a weekend and I work weekends. Also, which sites are good sites to work at?
  10. I am not sure what the cut off was but I was accepted with 20 points for the May 2012 start.
  11. I took the A and P nln exam and it was all A and P. If you have taken A and P at goodwin you will do fine. I focused more on APII which helped me a great deal. Study all the hormones and where they are released from. Study what hormones increase or decrease blood pressure. I remember some questions about the Kreb cyle and also some questions about cell membranes. I scored 80% and finished the test in an hour in a half. Hope you do well:)
  12. I can't wait and am sooooo excited.....see you on April 3rd!:)
  13. I got my acceptance letter today...I am sooooo happy...couldn't stop crying! I have to take the CPR because I only have adult not infant CPR. I wonder if they would let me just do the infant part.
  14. That is awesome...I am so happy for you...you must be jumping up and down. My mail comes real late in the day and haven't heard anything yet. I hope I get in too!
  15. when i was waiting in line to take the exam i overheard two students say they never even took A and P I. I also heard another student say he just finished A and P II but didn't apply to the nursing program this semester. Marlene overheard one of the students saying that they did not take their A and P classes yet and she looked at them and told them they shouldn't be here taking this test. The girl said that her teachers were encouraging her to do it and everyone in her class so she could get a feel for the test. I can't imaging taking that test without knowing any A and P! I believe thats why there was such a huge turnout for the test. I really hope a lot of people took that test and didn't apply. You need that test in order to apply even if you took the old nln. For that reason we may actually have a chance to get in:)
