[font="comic sans ms"] hi everyone!
i am a 31 yr old stay at home mom of a 3 yr ld and a 9 yr old, and my husbands grandparents live with us. when grandpa gets a job, i will be caring for granny who has medical issues. anyway, i came to the realization that nursing is what i want to do a couple years ago. i am slowly taking baby steps to get information from the cc in town. the university in town has a nursing program, but, i just dont think we could afford it.
years ago i went to school for agriculture, but, never finished to get my associates. i have contacted the school to see what i have left to finish it, just to be able to say "hey.. i went back and finished" unfortunately i dont even live in the same state anymore, so it may not happen.
like i said i am taking baby steps, and my next step is to make an appt with a counselor at the cc to give my transcripts and get information about financial aid as well as more information about the program they have. i was considering going through one of the hospitals where you sign a contract to work for them and they pay for schooling, but, i dont know if we will be staying here long enough to fulfill that contract.
i get excited as well as very nervous when i think about going back to school, as well as going into the nursing program. anyway, i just joined here today and wanted to say hello to everyone.
