If you could do it again- what would you learn BEFORE nursing school?

I am 25, going to nursing school in the Spring (well, finishing pre-reqs) after many, many years of flip-flopping between career choices. I am working front desk at a busy doctor's office and I know that I want to be a nurse now. I work with the nurses at my work and finally have had the lightbulb. I'm willing to do whatever I need to do to get my RN. WHATEVER I NEED TO DO, seriously.

What advice would you give to someone who has some time to prepare for nursing school? I am brushing up on chem and math (those are my two subjects I need to work harder in). I've already taken A&P, and most other pre-reqs.

Take your time going through your courses and do it right the first time.

Reviewing pathophysiology, that is the basis of just about any type of nursing you will do. To know the "normal" vs "abnormal". If I had known better I would have brushed up on this because I remember it being overwhelming trying to learn all of this plus all my other classes and many days I wished for more time to study patho.
