  1. Pocket drug book(if your clinical sites won't let you get into their computers to look up meds)
  2. I'm 5 months into a 15 month accelerated ADN program at a private school. I do really like that the class sizes are smaller, but that doesn't mean it's any less competitive. Its very fast paced and you will be very busy. It is stressful, but just take it one day at a time. And always stay ahead, it's so hard to catch up if you fall behind. Congratulations on being accepted and good luck in your program !
  3. 80% to pass at my school as well.
  4. What about impaired skin integrity/risk for...
  5. Penlight for sure. Shears and a roll of tape if you have room in your pockets for extras.
  6. Thanks so much for all this great advice everyone!
  7. So happy to have finished my first semester already, however I'm nervous for my first day of clinicals tomorrow. Any tips or advice about what to do vs what not to do, things to keep in mind, or any other tips/advice?
  8. Love my Littmann Classic II SE! Would love to upgrade eventually though ..
  9. Spot on ! Halfway through my first semester of a 15 month ADN program and can relate already. I was an A student, now it's Bs for me and I'm content. No social life and I rarely see my husband, my life is nothing but studying and sleep(occasionally).
  10. My instructors email all of us the PowerPoint presentations and I pull it up on notability on my iPad. I love it ! I can highlight and make notes right on the slide or outline.
  11. Any suggestions on a good(and reasonably priced) online RN-BSN program/school? Also.. Has anyone gone to a "tech" school and had problems with getting into a bridge program ? I was told by the instructors that I wouldn't since I will still be receiving an ADN, but I'm just wondering if anyone ran into any problems.
  12. Purplemath.com has a bunch of practice questions. I just got out of drug dosage calculations and we weren't allowed to use a calculator at all.
  13. I graduated high school in 2010 and have been doing prereqs a little at a time since then and I'm finally starting the nursing program next month to get my ASN. I will be bridging to BSN 100%, but if I could go back and change things, I would go 4 year straight from high school and don't waste time with your ASN first. A lot of states are going to start requiring your BSN in the next 5 years or so anyway (from what I've heard).
  14. From what I have heard is that you will need your bsn by 2018, I believe, to be hired as an RN in most states. Nothing wrong with bridging to bsn though after you have you 2 yr.
  15. Take your time going through your courses and do it right the first time.
