It is a hard course. But do-able. And it is quite an interesting course. The only way I managed to get through it was review, review, review...the bones are okay, I found the muscles the hardest part. You will get thru it. One day at a time.

Study alot. I always had my book with me. Took it to son's baseball practice. Yes, the other mom's thought I had a problem as I did not want to sit around and discuss scrapbooking. They even invited me to their party, I did not attend but who cares. I got an "A".

I didn't think it was that difficult. My prof. was a Dr. of vertibrate anatomy and I got an A. If you have any interest in the specifics and details of the anatomy, and the names, parts, and some physiology, you will do fine. If not and you don't know that much just study. Also, if you have taken medical terminology that will help you tremendously. Good luck and don't sweat it you will be fine.

The first time around i made an 89.4... so im retaking it for an A... if you make it a point to read your book ( and i mean actually read it) everyday then you should be fine. Make notes (or if your prof has some available then make extra notes along side them) and if there are practice fill in the blanks and activities then DO THEM!!!

The CDs that came with my book and lab book were AWESOME study tools, especially if you are a visual learner...

A&P is a lot of work, BUT if you take the time to read and study you should be able to do well!!!

    Good luck!!!

It can be a bit intimidating but it's definitely do-able. I was scared to death and I ended up getting an A. The muscles were the worst part for me but I spent an entire day making up flash cards and it helped me out immensely. It takes a lot of studying but if you're willing to put in the time, it will pay off.

    Good luck!

I made an A in both semesters. It was hard, but mostly memorization. So just study (and not just cram!) and you will do fine.

Anatomy is not scary. It depends on the instructor and your study habits. I personally enjoyed anatomy, so I used to get so fascinated about how everything in my body function. I taped each class, listened to the taped as soon as possible and typed all my notes. I went to tutoring on occasions. I never waited last minute to study, I knew it would be impossible, since there are lots of information. If you start the class with the right attitude, you will be fine. Find what your study habits are and stick to the ones that work for you. Some people made flashcards, which is great idea. I made some for some stuff, like blood typings, bone formation, protein synthesis, and some of the bones. I also ran a study group, in which I helped many others. If I can do it, you can too.

A&P was one of my hardest classes, but also one of my favorite. I studied my butt off for that class, but I learned soooo much. I tried to study atleast one hour everyday. I got As in both sections, so it must have worked. Good luck!

You know it's a hard class if you are one of two students left at the end of the semester to take the final and about 28 others dropped.

I can't believe our Anatomy has a bulky chapter on Chemistry (maybe everybody's does). This will be a challenge.
