I know it is early, but I just found out I was accepted! I have to finish two more reqs, which I will do in the fall (i was told they have to be finished by Jan 15) Anyone else find out yet!? What are you expectations, and how will you be paying for the program, and then covering living expenses?

hi everyone-we have a facebook page for spring 2014 ACE students called Ace program spring 2014. Congrats!

Hi all,

I was accepted for the Spring 2014 cohort. I am just making sure I can get my financing together before I confirm my enrollment... In all probability, I look forward to classes with you all!

I did a double-major in Psychology and Organizational Leadership; I've run a marketing business for a few years (along with traveling and filming a documentary in Egypt). My wife is studying to be a nurse to do international crisis relief (which is our mutual dream), so I decided it would be easier to just become a nurse with her.

hi everyone. I just recently graduated from 's nursing program. its definitely an intense program however it is WELL worth it!!! Drexel is an awesome school for nursing. Its definitely one of the top schools. if anyone has any questions... let me know. I'd be more than happy to help.

Congratulations!!

Is there anything you know now that you wish you knew when you started?

Thanks so much! Basically, how much studying and hardwork goes into it. Make sure that you have a solid friend and family background because all of the stress takes a toll on you - mentally and physically. But trust me, if I made it, you can too! I hadn't realized how tough the HESI exams are, but I recommend getting the HESI book. The third edition is green and white. I didn't do so well when I first started nursing school but soon after I got the book, my scores jumped up significantly! I even passed the exit Hesi on the FIRST try!!!!

Hey Everyone! So happy to say I just submitted my deposit for Spring 2014!!! I waited 52 days to commit to it. But I'm glad I did. I'm super excited to get started. It seems so far away but I'm sure it'll fly by. Thanks to the graduates/current students who have been posting. You definitely eased my concerns a bit. I do have a couple questions but I'll post those when I'm not so tired.

Is anyone else that has been accepted still applying to other schools? I feel guilty doing it but there are a lot of great programs out there that each have their own unique strengths. I'm really interested in the going straight into a masters program so the bsn/msn programs at other are super attractive. Does anyone know if gives preference to their current students/graduates for their own graduate programs?

Joining the FB page now! Congratulations everyone...It's going to be great.

Congrats Nikki!

I just paid my deposit too. I waited till the last minute but I figured it is best to secure my seat in the class. I am applying to West Chester this Fall for their accelerated BSN. Also I still have to take Ethics but I am going to try the Dantes/ddst to test out of it. Are you going to the info session on 8/13 at ? Are there any other accepted ACE parents out there? What's your game plan for the Spring?

Hey all. I just want to say that now that I look back on ALL that I went through...I can really appreciate and what they taught me. Its TOUGH!!!! It's definately not easy, but it prepares you for everything...

I'm a parent. I have three children, a girl who is 7 and two boys ages 3 and 4. Busy! My husband is a college professor, so he has a lot of time to cover child care. We plan on putting the boys in preschool in January to get them used to it and get through the initial sicknesses before I start the program. I am debating whether or not I should apply to Rutgers accelerated program (old UMDNJ stratford campus). The only reason I am considering it is because it is about $11,000 less than . I really want to just stick with Drexel though. It seems like such a good program.

Congrats on completing the program! I will begin this fall and am both excited and terrified! I frequent the Spring 2013 and Fall 2012 Cohorts Facebook page and it can be a bit discouraging as a lot of the posts relate to how difficult the classes are. I think NURS 300 is one that is most talked about. Anyway, I worked my butt off for three semesters, working 2 jobs to complete all my pre-reqs, and let me just say the school I went to was not an easy one. I have never worked so hard in my life lol. I'm sure I will work even harder in the program. I just want to thank you for sharing your kind words and experience with us all future Acers. It's good to know that although the program is difficult, which honestly I expect, it's not impossible. Can I just ask what exactly makes NURS 300 hard? :)

I'm currently in N300 and find it difficult because it is so much material as well as the way the questions are worded. We had what they said were NCLEX style in other classes, but these are different. We also have class 2 days a week and clinical 3 days this quarter, so it is out first really crazy quarter. We're getting through though, and you will too. My suggestion for this program is to get the Saunders book early on and do many practice questions before exams. Before you start, just relax and don't try to study anything.

Drexel is a good program. Just make sure that you do all of your homework and research before you commit, that way you can rest easy with whatever decision you decide to make... Good luck!
