U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I know it is early, but I just found out I was accepted! I have to finish two more reqs, which I will do in the fall (i was told they have to be finished by Jan 15) Anyone else find out yet!? What are you expectations, and how will you be paying for the program, and then covering living expenses?

Congrats Megan! My first bachelors is also from Penn State in Health Policy and Administration. When did you graduate?

Thanks! Congrats to you too!

I graduated in May 2012. You?

Thanks! I graduated in 2006.

Thank you to everyone who responded. They are most likely waiting for my final transcript for my micro class (which is over this week). I just thought it was weird that all of you still have prereqs to complete and still go a response, where it seems that they are waiting for all of mine to be finished.

Hi all,

Is there any interest in starting a Facebook group for OUR class, ACE Spring 2014? Thanks for your input.

Hi all,

One has been started already. You should be able to find it if search for ACE Spring 14.

Hi everyone,

I've been accepted for the spring 2014 class as well - just need to take computer applications. I am looking at other schools as well (all longer programs - 15 or 18 months). Are any of you hesitant about the length of the program? I'm a little worried about cramming that much knowledge into my head so quickly! I'm also from Oregon - is anyone else relocating for the program?

Congrats!

Yeah I'm a little nervous about cramming it into 11 months, but I figure that it will be worth all of the stress and not having "a life" to get done in less than a year. And if others can complete the program in that amount of time, there's no reason I can't. I don't know, that's just my philosophy!

I live 2 hours from Philadelphia, so I'll be moving out there. But it doesn't compare to Oregon that's for sure!

I agree with PSUMegan - I'm nervous, but it's obviously doable. If all these other people can do it, so can I! I just want to get done so I can start working again. I think you can do anything for a year, and we actually get time off in between each quarter to relax a little bit and recharge!

The program length and intensity are certainly a concern. Still this is what we signed up for right? The network of ACErs is a huge add on bonus. We will have support from past grads and each other. I am planning on applying to WCU Advance2bsn. Just in in case I have issues with financing as it is less than half the cost of . Also as a parent the schedule of WCU is more feasible for family life. Like the previous posters have said the bottom line for me is getting back into the workforce. I am leaving my current job to pursue this path. Anybody have post BSN aspirations? Mine is CNM/WHNP. We can do this!

Hello everyone,

I just found I got accepted for Spring 2014 and I am so relieved and happy. I just payed my enrollment deposit, so it is all starting to seem real. I do wish we were starting in the fall, but I am very glad to know I am accepted somewhere and I can just relax. I plan on going straight on to CNM as well, techmommie. Nice to meet you all!
