As far as I know the only brick and mortar programs are at UPenn and Rutgers. Philau is local but is a distance program. I went to UPenn's MSN open house. Overall the university is impressive but I cannot say I was blown away by the Midwifery program. I still would not rule out an application though. Jmho.

I just realized that Q2 will be over the summer for the Spring cohort. That is great! There's no homework from summer camp and my chiclets are so tired they go to bed by 8. Plenty of time to study! Woot woot, even the smallest victories excite me Lol.

Olive, You're fortunate that you're hubby's schedule is flexible. My hubs is a police officer with a rotating schedule (days and nights). He is very supportive and I know his heart will support me but I worry if he can maintain the pace of Mr. Mom. My DD is 10 and my DS is 8. My parents and inlaws still work. My siblings are useless for childcare. Perfect storm for drama. With WCU I only have to depend on me, which is how I like it. UMDNJ has some attractive midwifery programs and their accelerated bsn is the same length as WCU but I would pay out of state tuition. So the cost isn't that different from Drexel. ACE student and Alumni support is unmatched hands down. We know what to expect on exams and such from all those who've done it before. (Thanks NurseTina and Jillyplot!) I can't wait to check out the facilities on 8/13. Drexel seems to have the accelerated bsn down to a science. There's barely a murmur lately on allnurses about any other programs unless I missed something. NurseTina or Jillyplot, what's your Q2 schedule like? How much time are you spending out of class studying? Any late nights with class or clinical? My apologies if this has been answered before.

Congrats Nikki! I just paid my deposit too. I waited till the last minute but I figured it is best to secure my seat in the class. I am applying to West Chester this Fall for their accelerated BSN. Also I still have to take Ethics but I am going to try the Dantes/ddst to test out of it. Are you going to the info session on 8/13 at Drexel? Are there any other accepted ACE parents out there? What's your game plan for the Spring?

The program length and intensity are certainly a concern. Still this is what we signed up for right? The network of ACErs is a huge add on bonus. We will have support from past grads and each other. I am planning on applying to WCU Advance2bsn. Just in in case I have issues with financing as it is less than half the cost of Drexel. Also as a parent the schedule of WCU is more feasible for family life. Like the previous posters have said the bottom line for me is getting back into the workforce. I am leaving my current job to pursue this path. Anybody have post BSN aspirations? Mine is CNM/WHNP. We can do this!

You should call and ask. The admission department staff is friendly and eager to help. My husband calls me instant coffee 'cuz I hate to wait. I emailed them and was told that my decision would be posted the same day. Good luck!

I will definitely be there on 8/13. I'm taking A&P I now and Micro in summer session 2 at MCCC. I will be taking A&P II on campus and Ethics online also at MCCC in the fall. The Grad Plus has all the benefits of Fed Direct loans ie being forgivable. Private loans cannot be consolidated or deferred in most cases. I never received my paper acceptance letter or immunizations checklist.
