  1. Studios range from $800-1800 depending if you want want to be in a highrise closer to center city or in a multifamily or town home in a neighborhood around Jefferson. I live in Northern Liberties which has more town homes and multi units but it has easy access to the Market-Frankford line which gets you very, very close to where we'll be. It also has lots of on street parking available, which a great alternative to spending $150-$300 on parking. Graduate hospital is also very affordable put getting to Jefferson using transit isn't as easy. It really depends on whats more important to you...lower rent and parking or being close and spending more. There are some areas you'll want to avoid...so make sure you ask people who know Philadelphia...not just trust a rental agent or private home owner to give you the honest truth.
  2. Congratulations Everyone! I'm sooo excited. I'm looking for the January Cohort...Is anyone entering this January? I would like to connect and see what you're doing about books (oh my goodness....lots of them), uniforms, parking, ipad and financing. For those of you with interviews coming up, good luck and just relax. They're just as everyone has described them. If anyone is looking for rentals...I can tell you about the neighborhoods, pricing and if you want, find you a place.
  3. Hey Everyone! So happy to say I just submitted my deposit for Spring 2014!!! I waited 52 days to commit to it. But I'm glad I did. I'm super excited to get started. It seems so far away but I'm sure it'll fly by. Thanks to the graduates/current students who have been posting. You definitely eased my concerns a bit. I do have a couple questions but I'll post those when I'm not so tired. Is anyone else that has been accepted still applying to other schools? I feel guilty doing it but there are a lot of great programs out there that each have their own unique strengths. I'm really interested in the going straight into a masters program so the bsn/msn programs at other are super attractive. Does anyone know if Drexel gives preference to their current students/graduates for their own graduate programs? Joining the FB page now! Congratulations everyone...It's going to be great.
