  1. hi eliz.ambe! you look very qualified so i wouldn't worry about about the whole non-florida resident thing working against you! :) also, UF looks at your last 60 credits so the overall 3.1 shouldn't hurt you. is UF the only florida school you are applying to? most of the other schools only look at prereqs and tests scores.
  2. Violethill, I will be applying to Jefferson as well. Are you going for FACT or APW?
  3. just found out i got accepted as well! my application was completed a few days before the april 15th. anyone thinking about defering for a year?
  4. hey KittyL0ve! CONGRATS and good luck with the program! :) do you have any advice on what extracurriculars/volunteering/experiences that might help prepare for the program? my undergrad GPA isn't high and my prereqs are a little higher than a 3.5 so i'm looking for other ways to make me look better. Thanks!
  5. Hey y'all! Who else is applying to Jefferson?
  6. Hey y'all! Who's applying to UF's ABSN program? Go Gators! :)
  7. hey gatorgirl13! do you have any advice on applying to UF or know what made you stand out as an applicant? Good luck with the program! :)
  8. hey guys! I just rejected my NYU offer so a spot just opened up! Good luck to y'all! :)
  9. hey guys! I just applied for the Spring 2014 cohort and I have a question about sending transcripts. Do I need to send it with the transcript request form or can I just ask my college to send it directly to drexel? I am asking this because I don't live near that college anymore and would have to make a trip there if I need to send my transcript with the request form. Congrats on all the acceptances and best of luck to those that are still waiting! :)
  10. hey y'all! I'm planning to apply to SMU for this upcoming application cycle. Does anyone know how many people they accept each year?
  11. hey vidaUrbana! Thanks for your insight on the program and I'm definitely applying to UF :). Do you know how many people they accept for the ABSN program? Some of the past threads say 70 but the most recent thread (2013) says 25. That seems like a really small class!
  12. What a coincidence! Go Gators! :) I have the same thought of wanting to go out of state but it's so expensive. I know UF's program is really good but it's also really hard to get into, especially with my stats. Fingers crossed that I will get it! In Florida, I think I'll be applying to UF, UCF, FAU, Nova, and possibly UNF. Like you said, UM is so expensive/I don't want to live in Miami, I would rather apply out of state. I've been reading the boards and some people say private programs are good if you have low stats because they offer more spots/ have a more holistic view of the applicant. do you think that's true? I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong programs, but private programs seem quite selective with their applicants too...
  13. hopeful, I went to UF for my undergrad and currently taking post-bac classes as a pre-nursing major at FAU. Even though some schools like UF require rec letters and an essay, I do realize how number oriented state schools are so I'm looking more into private/out of state universities. I'm still going to apply to UF since it's my alma mater! :)
