Villanova BSN Express Spring 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

Yes all online. I live about 40 min from Villanova so nowhere near any of those colleges I mentioned. I'm also considering rio salado.

Thanks for all the info everyone! I'm going to go with Santa Barbara city college online course since I'm a CA resident and it's so cheap! If any of you are worried about getting into a class due to class size, SBCC has open spots in every single pathophysiology online section this past semester

I am also waiting to hear about acceptance, but fingers crossed! I found a Patho. class online through University of Northern Colorado's extended campus. It's only $705, so I think that's the route I will take if I get in. I also had a former BSNexpress student recommend taking a Pharmacology class before the program starts - it would just open up a couple extra hours for studying during the spring semester - so I have been looking into UCLA extension for that. I believe it was also around $700. That seems like a good price for peace of mind later in the program :)

ashlee0921 thanks for mentioning that one! I saw that one a long time ago and forgot which school it was! I like because you can do a self-paced one or regular online.

So, I just checked my application status (as I do everyday lol) and this morning it changed to "decision made: letter sent" I am SO nervous now! Keeping my fingers crossed so I can join you guys :) Have a good day everyone!

Ahh good luck warriortac!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I had my interview yesterday and I think it went great! The professor I met with was very nice. Like most others said, it wasn't much of an interview at all just more of a conversation. Getting that step over with has made me so anxious to hear back and also for May to come!! I hope to hear back soon :)

Hi Everybody! I just found this forum and its awesome! I applied about two weeks ago and am still waiting to hear! I know some of you waited a while... but I am dying to hear something. I keep checking and it says "under review." Do you think its too early for me to reach out and see where it is in the process?? i also applied to , but VU is definitely my top. Thankss!!

Fingers crossed for you warriortac!!

Emh0288 - good luck to you too!

Fingers crossed for you warriortac!!! My interview is on the 4th. Did anyone interview with A.S.? I found out my community college has one section of patho next semester, so I get to take it in person for only $700. Yay! I am going to have to take Nutrition online though- it's not offered anywhere in state for less than $2K. I was planning on taking it online at McComb (cheap- like $500) but I'd love to do a self paced one as I'm going to have a busy semester. Does anyone know of an online self-paced Nutrition course?

Lisa, I am currently taking nutrition through Delaware County Community College. It is 100% online and quite enjoyable. I encourage you to check it out!! There is a lot of busy work but it is easy to attain an A in the course! I am in county so it cost me $500

Lisa I took nutrition online thru bucks county community college last spring and I did the shortened accelerated course meaning it started in March and went until May (instead of starting In Jan) - busy work definitely but was an easy A. I'm out of county and it cost me $900.

Where are you taking Patho?

Fingers crossed Warriortac!

I'm jealous you all are taking these courses so cheap, I'm shelling out quite a bit more. I though they wouldn't accept community college credits. My idea of what's expensive or cheap was thoroughly skewed by my masters program.
