Villanova BSN Express Spring 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

I've been looking into: Santa Barbara community college, Harrisburg area community college, rio salado and brook dale community college. All under $900

Hey everyone! So I'm doing a phone interview next week since I live on the west coast. It seems like all the professors ask roughly the same questions from what I've read? Has anyone done a phone interview? Anything in particular I should prepare for? I'm a little nervous, because I feel like I do better when I have an actual person in front of me. Anyway thanks for all the info everybody, this forum has been so helpful for those of us who aren't able to make it to campus!

Hey @italopdx! I had a face to face but the only questions I got asked were to tell a little about myself and why nursing (I'm changing from an accounting career). My interviewer mainly talked, telling me all about the program and answering any questions I had. Very informal, made me feel really comfortable. You'll do great! Good luck!

DCCC actually has a Pathophys class (called Pathophysiology and Pharmacology). I brought the course description with me to my interview and confirmed it was acceptable. It's a 4 credit class, so it'll be a bit over $400 for residents in sponsoring districts. That's what I will take if I'm accepted.

Oh and that DCCC course is offered day, evening, and even online!

gerrly, what school is "DCCC"? I am from Michigan....so I don't know lol!

Warriortac it's Delaware county community college. It's so cheap for in county residents! I'm in Montgomery county so it would be about $200/credit.

Ahh, sorry. Yeah, what RNL0VE said. But you're out of state, so it's $318/credit. Delaware County Community College | Find yourself here. - 2

Yeah, I will have to first, find out if I got in lol and second, see if I can find it anywhere else cheaper. If not, I will prob do that. I know D.E. said in my interview that they have a list; since Villanova only has about 20 spots for the online version for us. I hope I find out soon! Tomorrow is the 4 week mark since I interviewed. I wish I had a reason to email them lol

I'm looking into Santa Barbara community college, Harrisburg area communist college, brookdale community college - they are under $800/$900 - being out of state or out of county this is the cheapest I have found so far

RNL0VE do they offer it online? Here in Michigan you have to be in a Nursing program in order to take it. I am still trying to find one here.

Lol, I know. I interviewed Oct 10th and am already compulsively checking the portal for an application update. I feel like I've talked to Kristin Barkdoll enough that I could email her and just be like, Hey... accept me? But, that's probably frowned upon. Hope we hear soon!!
