Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?

I unfortunately did not get a call today...maybe tomorrow. I think I'm going to have to set a dead-drop date for myself for USF soon. Eventually it will get too close to the program start date for me to prepare and get things situated at work.

I am concerned about how long it takes to get the licensure paperwork processed in California and getting a job after attending an out of state school...even if it is Johns Hopkins.

I am doing my BLS too in a couple weeks! I'm excited!! @aposs I would wait until at least 2 weeks from now because I feel like everyone who got off waitlist will be declining or accepting by then and then they will make more calls! Or maybe you will get a call tomorrow!

@gabrielcphillips how did you order the Castlebranch tests without a student ID? Or did you receive a student ID in your packet? I'm leaving for vacation next wednesday and wont be back until the end of April so doing the tests by the deadline means i have to go in to Quest next week before I leave, but it wont let me order them until I have a student ID. Suggestions? Thoughts? Ways of enlightenment? lol

i didn't receive my acceptance in the mail, so i told erin and she sent it to me through email. my student id was on that.

@ahhssha I also got it emailed the letter since I was out of town for a week when Erin called. Your CWID number will be at the top!

It'll also be on the admission decision when you log into your application.

Does anyone know when clinicals start? I looked on the curriculum pattern sheet and it seemed like they start in the summer but I'm not sure...also: anyone who is already in the program: would having a part time job ~6-8 hrs a week be impossible? Thanks!

I have a friend currently in the cohort that started in Jan and for right now they already have clinicals but at Laguna Honda geriatrics

Ya everyone starts clinicals at Luguna Honda for the first semester which is like a skilled nursing facility. You'll be in the hospital the next semester!

then you will have a clinical once a week at Laguna Honda

Registration for graduate students will begin at 8:30am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Please refer to the blocks above and select one in which to register. You must enroll in all of the sections listed within each block. The deadline to make changes to your block registration is Friday, April 28, 2017. Please contact the Sydney West ([email protected]) if you are admitted to the program after this date.

Hey thanks Gabe I didn't get that info yet but it's probabaly coming! Since I was just accepted Thursday of last week I didn't get the first round of info probably! That's helpful! I had no idea they did blocks like that!

I'm still making my final decision on where I am going so I'm trying to gather as much info as possible to make my decision!
