USF MSN-CNL non-nurse summer 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?

hey @emcsquared I talked to Stacey Kohut on the phone and she said to do the bloodwork at your PCP. Once you have the results you can then upload them to CastleBranch

Thank you for confirming @ahhssha! It's funny because I actually went to my PCP today to get blood work and was referred to get it done with LabCorp anyway! ...it all works out

Hey guys,

So after all the running around to get the health requirements done, I was accepted into one of my top choice programs. Over the weekend I thought a lot about my options and have decided to matriculate into the other program. It's a little bittersweet though because USF is such a great school, has a super beautiful campus, and you all sound like you would be great classmates. I hope my spot goes to one of you on the waitlist who are following this thread. Good luck everyone with the program and to those still hoping to get in!

Congrats! I guess this is a good time to say that I also have decided to attend Samuel Merritt's MSN program. I hope my spot goes to one of you lovely future nurses who wants this as bad as I do! Best of luck to all of you and I'm still here for anything you guys need!

@ahhshha which program are you going to if you don't mind sharing? Congrats!

good luck, afton!!! thank you so much for all your contributions here. so helpful. i wish you all the best that life has to offer.

Thanks so much @gabe! Glad to be of help. Best of luck to you in this program at USF! I'm sure you're going to do great/love it! The campus is beautiful, the classrooms are small, professors are great, etc!

@aftonheistand i'm going to be joining the SFSU ELMSN and specifically the adult-gerontology CNS. SFSU's lower tuition, high financial aid, BSN + MSN + FNP were too enticing to not turn down. However, I'm sure because they're not a renowned/well-funded private school like USF or SMU that I'll be missing out on some great cutting edge training technology and good networking opportunities at local hospitals. Oh well, c'est la vie when you're living the loan-life. Good luck at SMU!

That's a great program! Makes total sense why you chose that one! I almost applied there for the Women's Health CNS specialty but changed my mind last minute because I hadn't taken the GRE. Best of luck to you!

Hi guys! I just got accepted into the program! I was wondering if anyone could help me with how to pay my $500 deposit? I got the e-mail instructions that said to log into my myUSF account, click the "Student" tab, and then click the "Registration" tab, and then the "Drop and Add Classes" tab to accept the payment. The only problem is, I don't see a "Registration" tab, and subsequently no "Drop and Add Classes" tab. The instructions they e-mailed me don't seem to match up with what I'm seeing on my myUSF account. Can anyone help me out? I need to pay the $500 deposit by the 24th. Thanks!

i can't even remember doing it. i'd just contact them.

anyway...welcome to cohort 24!!!))) see you all the 16th.

@abcd92 HMM I think the Intent to Enroll form and the deposit form were both in the Student Self-Service. Call the office anyway to verify!
