Columbia ETP 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.

Anyone else?!

Thank you! I am definitely going to retake that stats class.

So most if not all of the accepted students had a 4.0 GPA of their pre reqs? Makes me feel like I don't really have a shot then but I guess we'll see. Only a month away

I'm probably retaking stats too. I took it my first year of college (10 years ago) and only got a C+. It's my only prerequisite that I have a low grade in. Good luck with your class! I hope I can do better in mine also...

Thank you and best of luck to you as well!!

Don't worry I don't have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs either but I've gotten 3 interviews out of 4 schools that have gotten back to me so far so don't lose hope!!!

I haven't gotten any interviews and have been rejected from 3 schools so far...I'm trying everything I can to get into Columbia.

Thank you for the inspiration lol. I have a number of coworkers who graduated from the program both of whom had ehh GPAs and excellent ones so it can go either way. I really want this and i wish I knew what they were thinking lol or how the application process is going. I Don't look great on paper with a pretty average GPA but with my work experience, essay and LOR I hope I have as equal a shot as someone with that 4.0. I wish it could go based on how bad we wanted it lol. No matter how many times I try and tell myself just let it be, I continue to stress about whats to come.. I'll either be estactic in a month or really upset.

Anyone know the deal with the health professional/nursing CPR certification? We don't need to worry about that until we get accepted, right?

Also, I feel you all. When I have downtime on my days off, I immediately start obsessing.

Don't lose hope. As my previous post said, my numbers aren't the best but I hope they give me a shot based on everything else. As much as I try and make myself believe it and don't lol… just think of it "if it's meant to be it'll happen".

Does anyone know anyone who ever got denied and reapplied?

I've seen that on previous threads but I'm not sure if we need it now. It was mentioned on the application :nailbiting: I was CPR certified at the time of the application but it expired last month.

we definitely don't need to be CPR certified to apply :) We just need the certification if we get accepted and plan to apply. I'm still waiting to hear back from schools -_- I'm a little nervous because one of the schools i've applied to has been inviting applicants to interviews, and I've not yet heard back :(. I don't think I can stand to wait 4 more weeks

Sweet. That's what I thought. Thank you : )

Don't worry guys! Everything will fall into place. Life always has a way of working itself out!

I'm a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason", I just hate waiting to find out what that reason is/was lol. I'm still waiting for answers from 4 schools (including columbia), so hopefully someone wants me lol. I just dropped out of a nursing program because the administration just treated me like garbage and I couldn't justify the cost for that. I hope this isn't the universe punishing me lol. I want that A in stats for my own personal satisfaction too. Just knowing I improved myself since my old old college days. It would make me happy.
