World UK

Hi

According to new rules to renew PIN we are obligate to provide five pieces of

reflective discussion with other nurse. It is allow to discuss nursing issues for that

purpose also by internet with proper statement. May I ask, if anyone from

nursing community here will be interested?

With regards

Martin :)

Hi

I'm looking for any other nurse who wants to do discuss any nursing-related

topic for the purpose of pin-revalidation, required by nmc, as you'll probably know,

if interested, pls. send personal txt.

I would say no to Internet discussions although I would suggest you confirm with the NMC. The other registrant needs to sign your documentation to confirm that discussion has taken place.

Specializes in Emergency Department.

Got to agree with XB9S, from my understanding you have to have 5 items and a discussion around all of them. You can't get that on line. Plus, how do you know I am registered?

I realise that revalidation is causing some angst - I have to revalidate this year - but it isn't that difficult. (I hope).

Specializes in Surgical, quality,management.

Bring it to work for discussion during your midday lull.

Specializes in ER.

Quick question - I keep my UK registration although I am working in the US at this time.

I'm not sure how I can get this to work, seeing as none of my coworkers have to meet this requirement.

Thoughts please from expat UK nurses!!!

We all sat in a group at work and discussed revalidation. A colleague had recently completed her Nurse Prescribing course and said that her tutor was also on the revalidation panel. She was told that her portfolio would pass revalidation as it stood, and to be honest it looked fairly straight forward in terms of work to get it all together...my 2 cents :)
