What size scrub pants do you wear and what size jeans?

I wear a 12-14 in jeans...I usually wear a large in say, misses yoga pants from Target. I'm thinking a stretch scrub pants would be best. I don't know what size to order. My hips are 43 (yikes) but I don't just want them to fit, but also be flattering and not make me look bigger than I am. Anyone know if Cherokee flexibles are any good? I'm in the process of losing 50 pounds but obviously my job's going to start months before I'll have significant progress. I'm 5'7" and my legs are really curvy..meaning they have a strong angle from my hips to my knees inward --if that's even relevant.I've always felt more supported in pants with big elastic waistbands. Even though I'm a "pear" I'm self conscious about my lower stomach and like the support of a non-drawstring pant.

I read here that someone wore a size 14 in regular pants and they wore a medium in scrub pants ---is this true??I was going to order a large according to the size charts but will they be too big??

Anyone know if Koi and other brands can be found in store and not just online?

The only store around me is SuperShoes but I dont know if they have many brands.

It might be worth driving a bit to find a good uniform store. There is one about 35 minutes from me; they have a generic uniform shop and then a strictly-nursing shop on the other side of the parking lot. The selection is absolutely worth the drive! Maybe try posting in your region's forum and see where nurses in your area shop.

I wear a size 14-16 in jeans. I'm 5'9". I wear an XL in Koi. The problem for me is length. The koi work length wise, but they are baggie in the hips.

I am a 7-9 depending and about 5'5 and sometimes even the mediums are too small!

what irks me is that the wider you are...the "taller" you are? Weird? Even in regular I have to get short because they drag. Or I have someone fix them for me. Lol.

Love scrubs though...they so comfty

2XL in scrubs

20 in jeans

I really depends on the scrub maker. Cherokee and other name brand scrubs are always so tight around my hips and thighs; even in a 3X. The generic hospital scrubs that I used to steal out of the Drs. lounge fitted perfectly. I now buy my scrubs from Wal-mart.

5'4" 150lbs. I wear about a 12 in regular jeans but a small in Urbane scrubs. I LOVE that I can wear a small. I've never been a small in ANYTHING. LOL

I have never ordered any online. Koi can be found in scrub shops. I would highly recommend trying them on first - the different brands can vary in how they fit. I can't wear Cherokee. They are not made for short people. I look dumpy in them and I am skinny.

My favorite brand is Greys anatomy but they don't manufacture my uniform color : (

Grey anatomy has a brand?

Do yoy guys know the brand that doesn't have such wide scrub tops?

Greys anatomy, koi, and urbane have more fitted tops. Some of them are cute.

The pants seem appropriate length for the size as well. With other brands I get sick of xs that are made for 6 ft or taller, and petite being high waters.

I wear a size 8 in jeans....size small in scrubs. But the scrubs still never fit right. They feel too big in some areas, but I know XS would be too small. I hate scrubs!!

Grey's Anatomy selection fit me just fine and I am curvy with "strong" thighs and a good-sized bosom. The large flattered my size 14 and I didn't look boxy or bigger.

not to give away my favorite brand to drive their already high prices even higher....

KOI makes the BEST pants ever. Especially if you don't like them super tight, if you love for your butt to look better, great cargo pockets, great placement of pockets on the front/back, and great fabric. Just great, can't say enough about them. Other than the price being a little... pricey, but still SO much better than any other brand. If you have a smaller waist, more generous butt and not stick legs, you'll like KOI. Stay away from Landau, Dickies (Yikes for someone with athletic butt/legs), and pretty much all the others.

UA makes some great ones. Peaches too.

I go between an 8 to a 10... so mediums in KOI are perfect. Peaches makes great roomy pants that fit in the waist. I like room to really be cozy at work, not all constrained.

Now can someone tell me a perfect TOP for someone with swimmer's shoulders and not a huge chest (a normal size) to boot? I have to find everything to fit my shoulder width first. It stinks!
