Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

I buy all my scrubs online and just thought I would share my experiences in case it helps anyone else out there. I am plus sized and wear different sizes in each brand so when first ordering a new brand of scrub sometimes I have to return things. I currently prefer Greys Anatomy pants, NrG pants, and Landeau brands. I used to wear Tafford Essentials but they discontinued them.

Uniform Advantage- So far this is my favorite! Very fast shipping, and easy returns. I wish their website was a little easier to shop on, but hey you can't win em all! They did include a prepaid shipping label and if you google you can usually find a coupon code for discounted shipping on your order. I hate that they do not offer free shipping. Also very few coupons. But the quickest shipping, returns post quickly, and great selection.

Tafford- Super quick shipping, easy returns with prepaid shipping label. Their selection is limited, I often find they will have the brand I want but not the color, or the color but not in my size. They email lots of coupons, but never for the good brands. I just wish they had my size, in the brand I like, in more colors!! You can get free shipping if you spend 25 bucks.

Medical Scrubs Collection - This is currently my least favorite. They had slow shipping and their return process is ridiculous. They sent a label that said "send returns to this address" but on their website there is a notice that all returns MUST be sent to a different address or subject to a restocking fee. Sent my return and waited and waited, never got a refund. I ahd to chase them down and FINALLY got it. I also found their order system confusing, you get an order id, order tracking number, order confirmation number. All different numbers, so hard to find your order status and you have to print your own return form and fill out volumes of info.

Allhearts - I ordered pants, paid for expedited shipping. They sent an email saying that the pants were on backorder and shipment would take several weeks but refused to return expediterd shipping. They said it is not possible and it doesn't matter that they did not actually provide the service or ship anything. Their customer service was terrible.I ended up losing my expedited shipping and just cancelling the pants because I was so mad at them. Won't do business with them again.

My experience with Tafford ended up being miserable. After a month I FINALLY got through to someone on the phone who apologized and said my order should ship out sometime later in the week. Uhhhh.....it's already been a month, and the best you can offer is vagueness? It STILL didn't end up shipping that week and the order ended up just getting canceled. I received a refund but it was a terrible experience. Like, I've never had such a frustrating and negative experience with online ordering quite like this.

It is a new thing I used to Order from them often, they have been awful for my last 2 orders. The shipments came from a different address as well and said chief supply or something. Not ordering from them again.

Specializes in Endocrinology, hopefully.

allheart.com has the best price on the stethoscope I want... But, as far as scrubs and shoes and all go, I'm playing a waiting game as I don't start nursing school until the fall and I think I have to use their companies. But, thanks for a great thread! It's a great idea!

I order from Uniform Advantage a lot. I wish they had better shipping rates!

Specializes in ER.

Allheart I had a similar experience where the item was in stock. Then it was "delayed" due to a snow storm. Okay. Then the item was back ordered. However, I found out that by checking the order status on the website. No email telling me of the status change. It took them about 1 month to send the items. Oh, and the entire time the items were still listed as "in stock" on the shopping part.

Aviator Scrubs took less time to ship the scrubs. The teal is too dark though for my facility.

Specializes in Acute Rehab, IMCU, ED, med-surg.

I've had great service from Koi Warehouse...and sometimes they will sell tops or pants on close out for just under $10.

Scrub Warehouse has been good as well.

I usually go to Life Uniform in my area to try on items to get the sizing right before ordering online.

Specializes in Psych Nursing.

I usually order from Lydia's. Shipping isn't bad, free over 50. Excellent customer service. If Scrubs n Beyond has a clearance item in my size & their long sleeve ts are on sale I'll try to run up 125 for free shipping otherwise I hate Smart post & their rates. Returns to SnB are slow & pricey. Had to do 1 exchange with Lydia's and it was fine.

Specializes in MICU - CCRN, IR, Vascular Surgery.

I've been buying scrubs online for about 10 years now, Lydia's Uniforms and Scrubs and Beyond are the best in my opinion!

Love this thread. I just ordered six pairs of scrubs from pulseuniform.com. They have free shipping (no minimum) and they suggest coordinates for each top and bottom. When they come, I will comment on the quality of the scrubs. Very pleased so far!

Scrubs came. Pants were way too big so I had to return them. But I'm in love with the tops!

I'm just surprised that no one mentioned Amazon.com !

Amazon has most of the brands with all sizes, and the most important it is cheeper than the all scrubs vendors I know. So far all "allhreart" items are available at amazon with less price and faster shipping. I have the prime service so I get most of me stuff in two days free shipping !

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

I have never had a bad experience with allheart; just got all my scrubs within the 3-5 day shipping rule. I have used them for almost 14 years when getting scrubs, stethoscopes, etc.

I have not tried Amazon...gave them a second chance after they didn't send me a non-nursing package...they are back in my good graces...for now...I MAY give them a shot on the scrubs...
